Pretty sure that if you ask James Tanner he'll explain to you that if you have a large enough sample size of every teams fan base the average fan stupidity or homerism averages out so the difference among teams is negligible.

But yes, some people are dumb, others are intelligent, lumping them all together under a particular fan base makes you a part of the prior group.

While the mongs don't understand that the "buyers" at the deadline aren't trading us top pairing defenders while they're making a playoff run, we're fully aware we have to wait till the offseason

Even still, it'll be sad to see us walk away from one of the only exciting days as an oiler fan with a couple middling picks from our only easily moveable assets

What's really crazy is that Dallas has a blog...

Hopefully Chiarelli can do something in the off season as we have seen zero improvement in Edmonton this season even with the additions of Sekera, Talbot, Draisaitl & McDavid.

Granted McDavid missed 37 games but since his return on Feb 2nd against Columbus we are 3-7-1! We've been worse not better. Every team has injuries.

We're sitting dead last in the entire league again tied with Toronto at 50 points but Toronto has 3 games in hand. 26th for goals for per game, 4th worst for goals against per game, 20th for PP efficiency, 17th for penalty killing efficiency, 24th for average shots per game for, 6th worst for average shots against per game, 30th overall in goal differential at minus 37.

How can we still be this bad? Shouldn't we have shown at least some progression this season, it's worse this season not better.

I don't get why any Leaf fan would have any animosity towards the Oilers (at least until they steal Matthews). Animosity should be completely focused on the Sens/Habs/Canucks. Otherwise it's just wasted energy.

Feels like spring out today, which means every year in the spring I watch old youtube videos of the 06 run to remind me of how good my life was for 3 months...
