Just for the year

Took a year off uni in Vancouver for a paid internship here that a professor hooked me up with. Pretty good opportunity even if I am mostly just the office b1tch.
Back in van this summer


Been out on the coast (whistler/Vancouver) for a decade+ since high school

Grew up in Sherwood park tho. True blue red blooded oiler fan....unfortunately

Yup, the worst part is just watching that team of mostly plugs work there asses off every night, and then seeing the losers we have now lollygag around the ice. It's really sad that Rexall wont get another playoff game.

I didn't actually expect Edmonton to make the playoffs this season but I thought they would compete, hang in there but finish 6 to 8 points out when all was said & done but then only after pulling the plug when they realized it wasn't going to happen. I certainly didn't expect this, 18 points out with 21 games to go. I assumed we would see some form of improvement.

As a long time seasons ticket holder I'm shocked & seriously disappointed. 2 seasons tickets aren't cheap & watching the ineptitude defensively of almost all forwards with this team many that have been full time NHLer's for 4, 5 even 6 years is mind boggling. It just appears that it has nothing to do with if they can they play 2 way hockey they just refuse to.

It has to get better, it can't get worse. I'm just not sure I'm prepared to wait as a seasons ticket holder. I probably fork out again even though my wife has said no for the last seasons in a row. She won't even go with me any more.

I remember sitting at Rexall in like 09 thinking "this team is (frank)ed until horcoffs contract is over, another 3-4 years." and being sick to my stomach about it.. And we are still in last 6 years later. I can't deal with it.

The only people from Toronto (and area) that I have conversed with are Twittler and JB. Kinda assumed their behavior was location related.
Makes sense now.

Oil need a big shakeup, so massively overpaying for a single piece of the puzzle isn't going to allow them to fill their needs.

The Reinhart deal was already a waste of valuable assets that could have been packaged together for a more sure thing. Like Hamonic....
