People are undervaluing a lot of those guys outside of Edmonton - atleast fans + media.

McDavid is obv McDavid......... Hall is a player that has shown he can be elite scorer for years. Draisaitl and Nurse are certainly guys that are top young players with potential.... but the values of RNH, Eberle, and especially Yakupov (I won't even mention JS) - those guys aren't getting any respect.

I'd be shocked if RNH is here in October but I would be more shocked if he doesn't bring back a key piece, especially on the blueline.

Eberle was solid in the 2nd half from what I remember but you need a team that meets the checklist: Can take his contract, has a need on RW, is likely contending or playoff team, and has the asset desired by PC.

Yakupov.... this is the worst. Despite him being different than other Russian players, I wanted the Oilers to take Ryan Murray from the beginning. I can't say it's what I said on the draft day - partly b/c I can't remember lol ... but you got to move him - I think before the deadline because I don't see the guys playing well after the deadline. Although it wouldn't surprise me with what's going on

I also think Yak hasn't gotten a fair look in EDM, personally I'd keep him.

Hes not a free agent, hes retired from the NHL and under KHL contract so its not exactly the same rule.

Its tricky from what Ive read....Devils retaining his rights on previous contract, all 30 teams would have to reinstate him, to passing through waivers, no one is really sure how it works if he did decide he would want to come back. Especially since he still would be under contract with a KHL team and that complicates things ever further since there is no transfer agreement
