See that's what Im getting at. If you sign him for 3/4 years and establish a good top 6 that moves mcginn to the third line you are going to be very disappointed with paying him 3.5-4 mil.

Our centers are forfeiting a ton of ice. Not just on our breakout but on the forcheck aswell. I really miss ror. Eichel does not have the luxury to break out early this game. He needs to support.

I think Ennis and Moulson might fit in this convo too. They saw a lot of 1st line/ 1st pp minutes during the tank years. Basically wondering if their scoring ability was more about sheer volume of opportunities (and virtually no expectation) vs actual talent.
