He Kinda did. I think that the problem was that he didn't sell a quarter of the lineup for futures to perpetuate the success of the future. Rinse repeat, al la Chicago. - Pres.cup

Keeping Miller is the most annoying part of this period. Markstrom would carry the team wothiut a problem.
We need a saturday night goalie injury to a contender....... |

like i suggested earlier, maybe to SJS for a 2nd/3rd or a B prospect and a cap dump? |

I don't see any contender a) wanting Miller B) having cap space this year and more importantly next year.
We saw with Lack last year, the goalie market isn't strong. These things go in cycles. Last year D went for a kings ransom. This year it appears to be gritty utility forwards
I suspect Miller will be here until next years deadline |

I think a 3 player deal with Ana would be nice Gibson is always getting hurt, they like hansen and we also give them Hammer.
They give us Vantanen and a 2nd plus i guess andersen to clear the position up |

True he is on pace for 72 Games total.
I wouldn't be very surprised if he sits a couple extra just to stop that from happening though, but then again I'm a cynic.

I agree that Miller isnt our guy. Been saying that for a year now. Problem is if you trade him who backs up markstrom? Whoever it is has to be capable as we've seen him injured twice this year.
Anyone reasonably think its Cannata? I doubt it. Sure down the road it Demko eventually, so I guess Miller remains.
But I dont think hes capable of starting full time anymore. Space him out as a backup. |

I i am sure you could get a back up for vrbata or as i mentioned andersen. Or since friesen just got an invite up from the ahl (instead of hunter for some reason) maybe cannata gets his shot?
Its not like we are winning the cup anyway so if markstrom goes down and we play him i bet the d plays better anyway |

I like Vatanen and Id love to have him here.... I see everyone here insists hes tradable
People listen, no PO team will trade a high profile player (esp an offensive type D) immediately before the playoffs without substantial return. Hanson doesnt offer enough return to replace a coveted position like Offensive D.
I do not see Vatanen moving before draft unless they get a somewhat star player from a non PO team. |

Edit- puck deflects off vantanens ankle gibson does crazy splits rips groin and both are done for season. |

the Major problem with moving Miller is again the Dreaded No Trade Clause
he probably wouldn't waive for anything but a west coast team, cuz of his Wife, and the only team on the West Coast who MIGHT need Goaltending help is SJS, but goodluck fitting that 6 mill cap into their cap-tight roster |

I'm not a huge fan of Bowman's moves this year. He gave up quite a bit for Ladd, and acquired a bunch of scrap of which the most useful piece is probably Weise. |

If they win the cup, nobody remembers. If they lose in the first round, he will take serious heat |
