It is really funny how low value Canuck players get.

Jordan Eberle gets mentioned with every big trade going. He cost 6 mil per has 19 goals 17 assists and 36 points. He gets 6 mil for another 4 years

Jannik Hansen costs 2.5 mil has 19 goals 13 assists and 32 points . He has a way better all around game and people laugh if you compare contracts.

It is time to move on from the old guys like Vrbata Prust Higgins Burrows and Hamhuis and let the new guys do their thing.

Because we wait wait and wait. Burrows...waited too long. Higgins...waited too long. And if we don't move Hansen while he has value it will be another Burrows situation all over again.

Difference between Eberle and Hansen IMO is that Eberle should remain fairly consistent with his goal scoring where Hansen will be streaky. But you are right Hansen is more versatile up/down the lines but Gm's look at Eberle as a top 6 guy and Hansen as bottom six just playing top 6 minutes right now.

And yes let's move on from the old core and that includes Hamhuis and even Edler.

It's not like the trade deadline snuck up on him...at least have some idea of what you want to do rather than this waffling that apparently has killed a decent deal

Which is fair enough but he can't be oblivious to the fact that it could and probably would happen and perhaps had that conversation with his family before yesterday. I totally don't blame him if he doesn't waive it..he negotiated that right in good faith. But don't be so wishy washy about it...especially at this time of year when things happen at lightning speed.

You aren't giving him a fair shake in this. He signed a NTC. He hasn't been asked to do anything nor has management even approached him about a potential trade and you are wanting him to prepare himself to be traded even though he is protected from it? People can speculate all they want about players with NTC until they are blue in the face, but in the end its up to them.
