I don't really blame him either. You won't hear a peep from me if he decides to stay. - Codes1087

You're right...it's just frustrating that he's the one chip the Canucks have to move this thing forward and it's not even remotely clear if they can use it. - dilly
Are you really that naieve? Do you believe that in a multi billion dollar industry that Benning is just fumbling around with no clue as to Hamhuis's plans or wishes? Stop listening to the media and use your head . |

I know how you feel on it and I agree with you. Its 99% of the fanbase who is calling for Hamhuis's head if he decides to want to stay. Imagine that, a top 4 D man who LOVES playing for our team and if he decides to want to stay, he is now a villain. |

I am pretty sure someone stated above that Hansen for Vatanen would be fair.
Vatanen has 31 points in 62 games as D man.
Hansen has 32 points in 59 games on the top line with the Sedins.
I don't see the fair trade there at all. - Codes1087
Not saying its a fair trade but man, you have to move beyond the back of a hockey card.....
Vatanen is a smallish one-dimensional player while Hansen is grit, Penalty killing, some scoring etc.....
Its not too far off... |

Someone actually thought you'd get Vatanen for Hansen? - walshyleafsfan
Yup, every fan base has them, at least we call out our own. |

No one better rip Hamhuis if he decides not to waive. We aren't Leaf fans.
I guess we can't get too upset with JB either, if there is an option to resign Hamhuis, he might have to move Edler and his NTC to make it work... |

How is Vatanen one dimensional? Smallish D men are taking the league up by storm. Barrie, Krug, Josi, all puck advancing D-men who are incredibly important to their respective teams. |

We traded Bonino who got 22 goals with ANA on a EXTREMELY cap friendly contract for an RFA in Sutter.
Theodore is not going anywhere. The reason Vatanen and Fowler's name have even come up in trade talk is BECAUSE of the play of Theodore. - Codes1087
I would trade for Fowler or Vatanen |

ya, thats great man but have a read man:
http://pucksofafeather.co...-defenseman-sami-vatanen/
http://www.hockeysfuture....m/prospects/sami_vatanen/
Just a cursory look and you can find many reports on Vatanens deficiency on the defensive side of the puck ie one-dimensional.
At no point did I say that its a fair trade but I get the sense that you are grossly overvaluing Vatanen and undervaluing Hansen..... |

He's small and one dimensional because he's not a Canucks, Shink is small and one dimensional and people freaked out all (frank)ing day when he got traded. |

Sorry, saw him in one of the conversations threads on twitter, I find he has as much credibility as Botch or Sekeres. |

yes, but with Hammer replacing Theo and Theo replacing Fowler, we are in a position to do it. |

I don't follow. You think Hamhuis will be going to ANA, or you think Fowler is coming to VAN and Theo will replace him in ANA? |
