After the moves Chicago has made, I have a hard time believing that the west coast teams have such little interested in McGinn. They know this guy, and they see what king of year he's having here on a poor team. We'll get a second for him, it's still early.

You can't do that though when you have 5 guys who are all more or less the same mediocre value on this team.

O'Riley, Reinhart, Kane, Eichel. As far as I'm concerned those are the only top 6 players on this team on a respectable NHL roster. then you've got 5 guys who are all various degrees of 3rd and 4th line players in Gionta, Moulson, Girgensons, Foligno and Larsson. If you're stuck with Gionta for his final year and Moulson for another what? 4 years... Then you have to get rid of one of the other 3 for a defenceman.

Purcell has had a career high of 24 goals, 60 points, along with another 50 point campaign, so I'd be surprised if we get more for McGinn than the Oilers received for Purcell.
