These LA guys are amazing. "Usually a trip is down around the skates. But I guess you could make the argument that Brown disrupted the defender with his stick giving him an advantage." |

And i'm including the Bruins, Canadians, and Leafs announcers...I have NEVER heard anyone this (frank)ing biased when it comes to calling the home team's games |

And that trip was not a trip. It was the Kings player staying strong on his stick.
*EDIT* He did stay strong on the stick, I guess. He strongly position his stick in front of Eichel's legs so he could not continue skating up the boards. |

King's stick was in front of Eichel's legs, which tripped him up. They called it a hook, whatever hook, trip, he illegally impeded him. |

At best you could call it a hooking penalty. the stick doesn't trip him though. |

Idk if it was Gionta or who it was (thanks LA announcers who were to busy jacking off watching their team skate around)....but it makes up for the no-call on the boarding penalty that happened right before the period ended |

Quick comments on the game:
Eichel is much better today
These LA announcers are horrible homers, "hard to tell if that was a high stick??"
McNabb, a LHD...hmmm playing top 4 minutes on a Stanley cup contender...hmmmm..Buffalo could probably use a dman like this. We gave up two 2nds and got deslaures Nd Faeshing for him?? Faeshing better turn out to be a top 6 forward or we got killed on this trade |

I think McNabb is wildly overrated. Put him on a team that isn't a possession monster like LA and his game suffers. |

I assumed it was called a trip because the Kings announcers were only talking about tripping. It was definitely a penalty, and I think hooking would make more sense as the call there. |

I used to like Deslauriers, but what does he even bring to this team anymore? A few hits?
It seemed like he was gearing up to be a feared fighter who could put up 25 points a year. Now he's just going through the motions. |

It was a hooking penalty. I said you could call it either. Just like on Brown, could've been hooking, tripping, or interference. In the end it was a borderline call, but they've made those pretty much all game. Bogo and Eichel and now King.
Those white gloves Detroit wore were pretty sick. |
