Brian Lawton ‏@brianlawton9 56m The @Senators are believed to have made a dynamic offer for the services of Jonathan Drouin. We will hopefully find out tomorrow.

How'd he do that?
That earlier trade of AHL players is t gonna affect a possible trade for Drouin in any way that I can see

I'm sure you would agree with me but the Sharks basically controlled the game in my opinion we just got lucky last night
- gerbe75pts

I definitely agree, but you have to be lucky to be good too. This is just one of the many, many times a team has gotten lucky in the playoffs. Remember this?

Just got home. Surprised more people aren't pumped for this trade. Sure it was all AHL players but Varrone wasn't going to do poope here Leduc was a wasted bust of a draft pick and the other guy was an average Derek Roy esque roster player. In return we got their leading point leader (who happens to be from Buffalo) and their leading goal scorer plus a big tough D. I'll take that any day.

Only major downside in all this is it probably 100% means no Prince...

Drouin to Ottawa no idea what they'd give Tampa to help them win now except maybe Lazar?

Went to Coles tonight on elmwood. Myself and six of my good buddies were going to go to Gabes Gates but there was a 2 hour wait...

Ended up going to Coles had the best french onion soup ever and incredible extra crispy, extra saucy 20 order of wings.

Then hit up some birds in Allentown!

Do you mean women? Because I haven't heard anyone refer to women as a bird since Michael Caine in 1978.

No one is pumped bc it's unlikely that any of those guys will ever spend any kind of significant time on the Sabres

Hung out with too many brits when staying in nyc... Yes women. Was just being sarcastic. The lack of deals earlier I needed to let off a bit of steam. Wings, Beer and Boobs will do that for ya'

Well I think Schnider could eventually come up to the big club and we got rid of a few medocire lifers in Varrone and Leduc. I'm not saying it makes Buffalo better but I like that it shook up the core of Rochester.

I'm still not thrilled with what is likely to happen with Buffalo. What with McGinn only getting a 3rd in probably 2017 and maybe Legwand fetching us a 6th. I'd like to see Murray shake things up and trade one of Foligno, Girgensons or Larsson but I don't expect it. Also a bit bummed that it seems we're not going in on Wiercoch or Prince and that Ottawa appears early favorites for Drouin. I hope Murray has more than one move up up his sleeve to help the team sooner than later.

Schneider don't be surprised if he's here for the rest of the year

I'm totally fine if he doesn't make any more moves, but I'm pretty sure he will. I'd love to have Legwand back at ~$1-$1.3M for another year. And McGinn for less than $3.3-$3.4M. Those guys are playing well on this team. The devil you know and all that. We need to be tweaking like 1 or 2 new guys, not like 4 or 5.

PS. I'm watching an episode of The X-Files with Giovanni Ribisi and Jack Black from like 1995.

I could see them officially shutting down Ennis and O'Reilly, Keeping Bailey up and calling up the new kid who was tearing it up in Bingo.

If we pick a top forward in the draft, and sign Stamkos, then I don't see how we bring either back...
Unless we're trading a couple forwards
Remember that Ennis will presumably be back as well

Not that I dislike either of those guys, but it might just be time to move on
Schaller looks like he can play 4th line center
And Foligno has looked nice on the 3rd line for a pretty significant time now... And Bailey looks ready to be called up if he falters

And it's tough to see how we get rid of Moulson- I think we are stuck with him for at least 1 more year unfortunately

Big moves I expect to be made at the deadline...
ZERO
But in the offseason...
-draft in top 5
-try to sign Stamkos
-try to trade for a young top4 defenseman

I know it's hard to be patient, but Murray will make the moves when he can
Usually easier to do that kinda thing in the offseason

I like the trade for Rochester, but am having a hard time understanding why Ottawa made it, unless it was to unload 1 contract to create space for a bigger deal coming. I can't imagine anyone wanting any of the 3 Amerks traded, for their team nor for part of a package deal. Not getting it.

Should be interesting today and tomorrow, looks like the values for McGinn, Legwand and others have decreased.
Extend Chad for another year, get to play the game again next year and have use of him to allow Ullmark to play 1st in Rochester next year.

It seems like there is some speculation that maybe some of the prospects we acquired could be included in a deal. This Schneider kid seems like a real good prospect, went to St. Joe's and plays here in that summer pick up games with PKane and Girgs. Apparently Murray wanted him as he got him to Ottawa in 2012 as a free agent.

If Schneider plays 3 games for Buff the conditional pick we owe Ottawa will be a 7th this year. Murray seems intent on re-shaping Rochester.

My guess is if there is a roster spot after the deadline, Schneider will be here.

Ennis having this bad of a concussion really worries me. His trade value is terrible at this point and he might not be the same player when he comes back
