I'm not believing what they say....I'm believing what he has done. Monday will ultimately prove whether or not he's in on picks or not. But recent moves the last year have pretty well all been about targeting young players not picks

You think Lindell has been better than Honka? I do agree that johns is a good prospect as well.

Lindell has definitely been their best D in the A but Honka has been getting dressed in the NHL quite a bit. Certainly more than Oleksiak. Honka probably has the most upside of all but Lindell has really come on.

Baertschi has been the only guy in that 20-26 range that has panned out. The rest are either unknown yet (pedan, Etem, Vey*, Granlund, Larsson) or haven't lived up to their billing ( Bonino, Vey*, Bartkowski, Sbisa, Clendenning).

I agree that is too early to call these guys rejects but it also too early to be patting Benning on back for filling that age void.

I'm ok with good young players. But to come out and say no thanks to 1st round pics is just dumb. I hope you're right and we get a nice mix of both.
