And he's smart not to battle fan and media pressure, and keep working the plan. MG wasn't.

Clendenning wasn't the answer.

Too many people are upset that Benning cant follow the script that the media had laid out years ahead of him. He's taking his own path.

He doesnt even try hard to sell the BS he says to the media. With no emotion he claims the playoffs are always the priority. For an entire season we get the media towing this bandwagon of fans yelling liar and failure.

What are you going to do... probably just ignore it and do your job. If he wants to be a successful GM, learning to cater to the plan rather than the "rats" will keep the ship off the rocks.

- boonerbuck

The thing is, if he did everything the same but just played the media game better, things would be so much easier for him. It's like that episode of Seinfeld where Kramer coaches the Miss America contestant. "Poise counts!"

I hope you can hold your liquor, because I bet he can. That's the secret to Poker.

The most frustrating thing in poker is losing your roll for the night to a drunk bumhole that had to be shown by the dealer and table that he won on the river with a 1 outer.

I have one buddy that has to be constantly reminded how blinds work. Every game it gets to the point where we just throw his chips in for him. That (frank)er wins way too much.

Yeah, excellent. I don't know a ton about Carmenere, but I'll gladly do that research.

Totally understand the Kassian move I just don't think we won it and I don't care about it either.
- VANTEL

We win the Kassian trade until Prust got hurt. Then it was a wash.

No, I'm suggesting that he's a magician by trade, but he's being forced to sing.

(And that, my friends, is a mother (frank)ing metaphor)

We had a 4.5% chance of making the playoffs and fans and media were speculating we would dump Horvat for a UFA to chase the playoffs. It's baffling....amusing....and frustrating. I don't know how I feel about this hysterical fanbase anymore

Your boy Bieksa said it best...I tried to help Kassian. The Sedins and Burrows tried to help him...but some people won't or can't listen (paraphrasing). He had to go

I obviously know what ROFL stands for, but if you wanted to explain it to the rest of the forum... It was getting thrown out a lot earlier.
