The amount of change Benning has brought to this roster is pretty remarkable. He came in and said we need to get younger and now look at the players under 25 on the roster and has done a great job of restocking the prospect pool. His next job is going to be working on the d core an the next 24 hours could help that along. They will also have a top 10 pick this year.

Benning was hired less then 2 years ago and look drastic changes he has made in that time. I really think this team could be a hand full in 3-4 years which would be a very quick turn around.

I agree. And taking the higher pick in the draft is absolutely the way to build this yer. It was a silly notion to try and make the playoffs and be done in 5 games

why would Chicago do that??? Higgins is not an upgrade on Bickell and a cap savings is only 1.5. Then they give up one of their best d prospects for Bart.

I would suggest that any talk of Hamhuis resigning here would have taken place behind closed doors, or Benning just isn't interested at all. Going public if they do plan to resign him would likely only serve to shrink his trade value.
