How am I butthurt? I just find it sad that I cheer for a team with people who only complain about the team, Canucks have some of the worse fans in the league.
- A_SteamingLombardi

uhm yep complaining, but isnt that the point of a hockey blog? just having a discussion with other people that are actually interesting in the team I love. Have a drink dude, you might be amenable to a real discussion, like an adult

Lol. Come on man. No cap space with the way the CBA worked out we had to give garrison or Edler away. Hindsight says we should have traded Edler but the years that they had prior to moving garrison Edler vastly outplayed him.
Bieksa was a tire fire last year and resigned for big money. Would you rather us tie up 6 million in Bieksa until he's 38 or move on. ..
Your sounding like a hindsight fanatic.
I can play this game.
We should have traded Raymond instead of grabner. Our not traded either of them. We should have drafted kyle beech instead of Cody Hodgson.
Should of traded lingo in the last year of his contact knowing that the new CBA would pound us hard in the Butt

there's hindsight, and there's thinking Frank Corrado/ luca sbisa can replace Bieksa/Garrison, that's what I'm getting at. You need cap space? Then you clear cap rofl, you dont just part with solid players because you dont want to pay them. You dont just leave holes in your defense, and expect Miller/Markstrom to win a Jennings award rofl.

so I hear Dallas is pushing for Hammer. Antti Niemi has been garbage for them lately (3-8 last game) maybe JB can convince Miller to waive for Dallas?

Hamhuis and Miller for Niemi, a D prospect + ?

2nd, 3rd and 4th i read (although i didn't hear about Kindl).
Half the Canucks fans would be up in arms if we gave away those picks.

But i agree, not too much to give up for a run (although that's easy to say now, and harder upon reflection if they don't make it past the 2nd round)

- dbot

Hard to second guess anything the Hawks do but the best deal for any team in terms of value IMO is turning Weise and Fliechmann into Danault and a 2nd. Danault is a really good even if not flashy.

#RedWings deal Kindl to Florida. Get back 6th round pick in 2017 and retain 15 percent of salary.

That's a bit uncalled for. It's well documented that HockeyBuzz Canucks fans have some of the strongest hindsight in the developed world

Like someone already said, it will be NHL or waivers for those players next year. Ditto for Etem,Vey, Granlund, Grenier, Kenins Friesen, Zaleweski, Cannata if resigned.

I expect next year we start the year with a lot of kids and a lot of cap space.

Sedin Sedin Hansen
Baertschi Horvat Virtanen
Etem Granlund Vey
Burrows Sutter Dorsett

Edler Yandle
Hutton Tanev
Sbisa Larsson

hmmm I dunno man, I dont like giving up Hansen in that package, Niemi/hemsky are cap dumps, unless there's a guaruntee Hamhuis resigns in the summer, I dont think its worth Honka and a first, if hemsky were replaced with a Oleksiak or something, if this is the big trade we're making, it better stock our defense cupboards. i'm clouded because I love Jannick Hansen though, it really is a good non biased trade to make, gets rid of millers 6m bucks too.

Danault is going to be a solid 3C for years. Could turn in to a real shutdown C. Big loss. Lack of offense hurt him 1G in 30 plus games. The 2nd is in 2018. Wouldn't be surprised if it comes back in another deal. Bergy and the Bowman's are very close.

Will miss Danault but the Hawks have a similar player in Tyler Motte who is/was leading the NCAA in goals. Found his offense this year but always seen as defense first. Danault probably wasn't helping this year and Motte may take that development slot next year. Weise and perhaps Fleschmann have a better chance to help this year.
