that may be true and who am I to argue...he certainly knows defensive schemes as he's played in a third-line shut down role often this season and is team-best minus-1 for those who've played in 50 or more games

don't understand why they would jettison a solid third-line center/top-six fill-in because he's in systems that haven't produced much more than last season despite a talent upgrade...

then again, he was a darcy pick, wasn't he?

Tampa Bay is unusually quiet as arguably the second or third best team in the Eastern Conference. It seems like they would have added some bottom six grit or a depth defenseman by now; Drouin must be the domino before they start adding pieces.
