Fair enough, I agree that they need to find young NHL-ready D that you outline, I just don't think that they are easy to find and that they have a pretty good player who sounds like he really wants to play in Van.

If you do get a chance to pick up a young guy and want to give him a shot, you can't if Hamhuis is in his way because you re-signed him. Unless they plan to trade Sbisa, and that could be difficult to do with his contract.

At this point in time another vet would have to be moved in the offseason if JB resigns Hammer. We need more offense out of our D n thats not him. Still a long ways off til next season n we al know Hammer wants to retire a Canuck.
Only time will tell how it all plays out.

I think Pedan is better than Sbisa, though small sample size. He seems to realize he isn't the most offensively gifted and doesn't pretend to be. Sbisa on the other hand....
