Also, are you telling me someone wouldn't have given up a 7th for Vrbata, look at some of the garbage that has been moved.
We don't even have a (frank)ing roster spot for the bum.

He has a good eye for talent, but I don't think he is GM material. He should stick to drafting and letting someone know who we want from other teams and who we don't from ours and let someone else handle the rest. - Retinalz
Does he? People keep saying this, but I'm not seeing it.
Bartkowski sucks, Dorsett sucks, Sbisa sucks, Vey sucks, Granlund had sucked and probably will suck, Prust sucks.
The only positive value adds he's made have been Vrbata and Baertschi.
Even if you want to say he's got an eye at the draft, maybe he should be more open to acquiring draft picks to prove that instead of trading them away. |

McKenzie and Dreger strongly suggesting that Dan gave JB 2 teams(Hawks/Stars) and they tried to low ball him late.... - boonerbuck
Should have just taken the best deal at the end. If that Dano and a 1st was offered and he didnt take it then that is just crazy. |

Yes, in my opinion nobody that was on Vrbatas list made an offer of any kind. Time will tell. Everyone has two options. Calm down and wait for information to form an objective opinion or jump to hysteria. The choice is yours |

Come on now..cracknell is awful. Vrbata clearly has no value. The question that Benning needs to answer is regarding Hamhuis and Hamhuis alone - CanuckDon
What makes cracknell awful? He does his job to a T. Best FO guy for 4th line we have. Took tough assignments in Defensive zone at that. WE currently dont have anyone else who can play that role.
we were better off with him than without. |

Cant wait to hear the benning fans explain today - mauryballstein
The media guys are already carrying all the water they can. "Market wasn't there. He was hampered by the NTC (Hamhuis I'm okay with. Vrbata, the NTC he handed out)."
Non-local media guys "He had deals on the table but teams called his bluff on counter offer and talks died right there" |

I'm not defending Benning. I'm pissed they didn't trade Hamhuis. My opinion is that Cracknell is brutal. That is all - CanuckDon
Well at this point, i suppose we have absolutely no choice but to have to rely on the 6 foot, 178 pound Granlund to grind it out against the leagues bottom six.
Talk about shooting yourself in the foot |

As far as 4C's go he's probably league average. A positive value add by Benning that turned into nothing |

I think so too. He was fine as a 4th liner. Would have rather waived vrbata. |
