I hope I am wrong, but I feel as though this will be a quiet TDL for Vancouver. I think we are all expecting a fire sale when really we might make minimal moves. I am hoping granlund isn't our big acquisition this week but who knows..

To be fair, trading our 5th ranked prospect for Granlund was a decent sized deal. I'm sure here will be a couple moves but the reality is we dont have much to move

This guy Johnny is a regular caller and minutes ago phoned in all excited and says "No more small deals Benning , you need to hit a home run. We don't care about Vey or Granlund we want a big deal. You need to go after that guy on Dallas Niniskin"

Higgins is known as a playoff guy. What if the previous statements about him planning to retire after this season are true and his agent has confirmed that to Chicago? They get some insurance depth for this year and a large cap dump for next year. That's a pretty big plus for them and would maybe justify a better prospect than the rentals on their own. Would Aquilini be willing to step up and pay the extra waste salary, in effect buying a quality prospect?
