Were not going to win this. Girgensens has the "Blue Collar" that Sabres fans fall in love with and can not look past. Drouin would be fantastic on Eichel's wing and I hope it happens, it would fun as hell to watch.

Girgensons has just about as good of NHL stats as Drouin does with less or equal talent around him.
.36PPG vs .44PPG
But yes... Drouin was amazing in Juniors... we should go for that.
You think he'll be cheap? Why? If he was cheap he'd be gone by now. It'll be Girgensons ++. That's why I don't want him. - Zschalberg
Do they even NEED a 3rd center? as far as i can see it looks like their centers are set maybe need a touch of help at RW... so my guess is they ask for skunk if anyone off our roster but since there is such a hard on for Drouin im sure that trade would be made as well

It's not about Girgensons, man. It's about Girgensons ++. I like Drouin but I'm not getting him for free and he'd cost too much for me to want.

I have but with respect, i'm not saying anything. When I do I get attacked but when others do it seems to be ok. I'll let others report. - SABRES 89
Welcome back, 89! One of the last times I was hear was the day you were being attached. For what its worth, the people attacking were some of the most obnoxious on this site and part of the reason i don't bother with it much anymore! Regardless, your updates were always welcome here!

For the cost it will take to get Drouin, he has a legit question mark around him with how it's been handled regarding him taking his puck and going home.
If he didn't cost much to get, it would be another conversation, but it won't be.

Girgs could easily play wing, but you're right in saying that we don't have much that they need. It's such a far fetched deal that talking about it for this long is really not worth it.

If he wasn't fantastic with Stamkos why would he totally be fantastic with 15?

Yet as many as 20 GMs have contacted Tampa about him. If the question marks are small enough for them to overlook, perhaps people should stop using them as an excuse as the reason not to acquire him.

You said you would rather pay max value for a player that's established then try risking for potential that's loser mentality
