Just got on. Have to say I'm disappointed in all these so called rumor breakers on here. Went from claiming all these players we're going to go I was pumped now all of the sudden we're not doing anything. If Murray wanted to trade a couple of useless defensive forwards in Larsson and Foligno he'd do it. They aren't getting the world for two guys who have a combined ten goals... Get rid of one of them they're both RFAs and bring in someone with goal scoring potential.
Girgensons is the most overrated Sabres player that I can think of. The guy has proven he has no offensively ability or drive for the net. For a guy drafted in the first round his work ethic and energy isn't good enough. You have to be able to finish when you get the opportunities. At this point I'd trade at the very least 2/3 of them you aren't going to win with those three and the sooner Sabres fans realize that the better
Edit* To clarify Girgensons having work ethic and energy isn't enough need to have scoring ability too. |

Unless he really doesn't want to play wing which has been reported and unreported and reported. So it's a tossup. That is how I would do the lines. - Zschalberg
With Eichel's speed, he'd be lethal as a winger (not having the center/backchecking responsibilities). |

Matthew or Lainne would look great on the wing of that 2nd line? Maybe even faeshing, though I'm not sure he'd be ready as of yet. If we somehow sign Stamkos, that obviously solves a lot of forward problems. So much so, that if we're lottery losers per usual and fall to the 5-6 pick area, we could take the best available dman. - turbo044
Maybe, but not sure with that. I for one like Puljujarvi and I don't expect to get Matthews at all. Anyone in the top 5 would be great here.
Fasching is a whole cup of worms but I'd like for him to be on Rochester. |

Wow - that would make Eichel a 90-100 point player. Think of all the assists he would have this year if the Kane's of the world could bury his passes. - turbo044
Yes it's pretty aggravating watching players miss open nets with his perfect passes |

I don't think Girg's work ethic is questionable. His durability and ability to adapt to the new systems are the issues. |

I really don't want to waste jack on the wing that's just me though - gerbe75pts
A fair point. I would have them switching to whatever I feel will do best that day. And also, Jack still has time to learn and learning from O'Reilly or Stamkos could help.
Best part of it would be that there is no wrong answer to that top 6 |

As Price goes, the Habs go. Team looks like they have issues. Harder to play there then in Toronto IMO. - SABRES 89
Get a star player like that and issues can easily be forgotten. I'd give them better odds than us but I have 0 sauces, just a lot of dips |

Those on here who back 28 in no way overrate him. We see him for what he is, a top flight third line center. Nobody here has been clamoring to see him in the top 6, but if he's our 7, we have a good team! |

I don't think having him stops us from winning. If he's not taking a top 6 spot on my team I don't care where he was drafted. I said in August he's a 3rd line center and that's where I want him long term. You can win with him there but having him next to Jack moving forward shouldn't be our plan |

With players being picked up on waivers this morning, that might be an indication not alot of deals will get done today. |
