Hecht was good. My point was that he was good because we had goal scorers like Max, Briere etc in front of him. If Hect was in his prime right now he'd be on our 2nd line.... He's the definition of a solid 3rd line guy on a deep team. Girgensons is similar but should be way better for where he was drafted

wadr, Hecht was in his late 20's when he was rockin' it post-'04/05 lockout with Buffalo...never hit 20 goals or scored more than 37 points despite playing with pommer and briere in a much softer league

He's a player you already have, why have the need to go out and find a player like him when they're a contender?

Only way I move him is if it's in a package for a top pair 25 yrs or younger LH defenseman. Other than that, you keep him.

I'd take him for any kind of goal scoring potential guy. I know this isn't a popular statement but I'd take him for Yak right now. As far as I'm concerned they've both failed to live up to their potential. At least in Yak he has the potential to score goals. Girgensons will probably have a long career as a 3rd line 12 goal max type player for his career which is fine but not what this team needs more of.
