I hate it that some teams are able to move spare parts like stupid f'n Daniel Winnik & Schultz like no big deal but for us trying to move McGinn or Franson or Johnson we hav eto "wait until others who are better are dealt first"

It's supply and demand. If better players are available the value won't be as high. McGinn shouldn't get you a 2nd. Only happens if he's one of the best ones left. Franson shouldn't get you anything.

If your dream for your star player is to play with a little poope who hasn't played since Jan then i am glad to say that we dream completely different dreams.

Yea I am not exactly getting my hopes up too high for this one. We don't have the juicy pieces that other teams really want. We don't have Pominville or Vanek to try to sell here.

We got a shoe in from a previous deal to try to deal again. An underachieving DMan who I can skate faster than and a career back up goalie is our top 3 pieces if you don't count Ennis due to injury.


I think the whole us trading for rich young kids like Vatanen/Fowler/Drouin won't happen.

How is Girgensens a sure thing? I am legitimately curious on your thoughts here cause I have seen Girgensens do near next to nothing this year.

I would rather try to trade fo him r now when he's not at all star status if you can get him for girgensons you do it ..

It's 2 different schools of thought and 2 completely different players. If you trade Girgs and he's a solid 3rd line guy who can put up 10-15 goals and Drouin doesn't do much you hurt your team. And if you don't and Drouin goes and lives up to his potential and Girgs gets 5 a year and is okay on the 3rd you missed out. It comes down to which do you think is more likely to hit their ceiling.

yea... he got top line minutes. I'm not saying he is bad or anything like that. I just think a lot of fans over value him. If Drouin can be the player he was drafted to be he will be worth way more than zemgus.

He's a sure thing as to where he is slotted- 3rd line center. He can move up and down the lineup, plays well defensively, has offensive skill, can hit, skate, and move the puck. he's lost in the system maybe? I don't know but if so, screw the system then, it doesn't seem to be working for anybody!

You see him there often? He tell you he'd give you his all playing in Buffalo, with no Stamkos, or Callahan or Bishop in net and not going on deep playoff runs? Maybe its just me but if i get injured and play like crap and get sent to the minors i bust butt and get back, not whine and cry and demand a trade when i haven't done anything of note. He seems like he has problems not being pampered to and he wouldn't here. I might be crazy but i don't want it.
