Im hoping something trickled in late for McGinn. Could always resign him in free agency if he really wants to be here at an affordable cap rate. Im fully behind a top 3 pick now. People got hyped up for something big to happen this deadline and left disappointed. Still have an offseason to acquire assets. Who cares who wins the trade deadline Nobody moved today wins us a cup in the next 5 years. I believe we made attempts to get rid of the players mentioned by 39 today but nothing came to fruition. Id rather keep the assets then get below market average returns just to say we made a trade to make the online posting community happy.

A 3rd for Prince (maybe a 3rd and a 5th to stay in division)
A 4th for Pirri (to get him in division)
McGinn for whatever.

Drouin didn't get traded, but as was said can get traded after the deadline to a non-playoff team, I believe. Almost didn't want to say this just so the conversation would die until after the season.

I dont think Ownership ever really wants to lose a franchise player. When they need to, there would be a bigger smear campaign against Stamkos.

Only significance of trade deadline is that players traded after can't play in playoffs that year.
