Maybe if we convince him he'll continue to have a spot on the roster if he trimmed his salary he'll consider it. Tell him we need some of his money for potential Stamkos run or to fill out roster. He must realize the decimation of the veterans in the league and the youth movement. As well as seeing first hand what happened to Hodgson and Leino he must understand he can't produce like this at his current salary caps hit. Either that or threaten to buy him out and if he doesn't budge he's gone after next season

Demers is a UFA as well... I really like him but not a lefty and would make top 4 pretty crowded.

Well, not for nothing, our 6th is a better 6th than Anaheim's.

I really disliked that lehner trade but he is quickly changing my mind about that. Lots of big goalies in the pipeline and ullmark is probably ready for the show, but can be afforded AHL time. Its looking good.

He flashed promise yes, but his positioning was typically suspect...
he needs longer term seasoning in the rachacha.

It's the Lehner show from here on out...hopefully someone pokes the bear to make the last 20 games more interesting.

Matthew Collar was just saying Ullmark has been pretty inconsistent in Rochester this year
I think a full year where he's "the starter" and not rotating games will be good for him

Lehner has looked good for the most part
If he keeps this up the rest of the year, I'll have pretty good faith that we can make a run at the playoffs next year
