Dallas then came back to the Canucks with a lesser offer for Hamhuis — believed to be a draft pick in 2017 — but were turned down.

Keep in mind that the Stars would love to light a fire under our ownership.

We dont know how many of those guys will even be there in the future or where the cap will be either...I get your point but I find it hard to believe that the Oilers will use finances as an excuse to not give Connor the money he wants when it comes time to give him a new deal
