I'm pretty Baffled with your GM and the direction of your team. Not criticizing, I just don't understand.

Is ownership, Linden and the GM all on the same page?

Maybe. It's contagious.

The part where people are concerned, upset and just wanting to discuss it is not the same as the people who are arming themselves with nonsense,,, wont reason, and worse,,, show up celebrating that we had a very bad TDL and are beating their chest in victory. That group is pathetic.

Message to JB at the draft.

a) Just make your picks

b) Don't pick up the phone at the draft table

c) Remember an asset worth a 2nd round pick in reality is worth a 5th to other GM's (do not make this deal)

Yes. I believe none of them know what they are doing.

The morning after.

I think Canucks screwed up yesterday. 100 pages 2500 posts in 24 hours hints that I am right.

Twitter and the Airwaves were screaming Fire Benning Fire Linden.

But the biggest indication that we screwed up was that resident troll PHucker was back posting in his glory. That is how I know things have gone really bad is when he comes here to gloat. Then you know you are at Rock Bottom .

I think yesterday we took a turn called Jumping the Shark Tank from the sitcom Happy Days.

We have run out of ideas so we will bring back the aging Dman to build a bubble team even though we could have had 17 mil in cap space and a roster spot to fill with a proper RHD.

Canucks youth movement took a kick to the nuts yesterday. Today is another day.

No choice, JB has been unsuccessful in acquiring a good defensive prospect.

i think if anything JB might have tried to get something done early, which would have helped him get smothing decent for his players, vrbata and hamhuis. but other teams weren't really biting on either of them.

i'm glad he stood firm on what he wanted as a return though. Vrbata has to be disappointed though.

if he can't get onto a club at TDL day, then what are the chances of a decent offer as a UFA...???

There are plenty of choices. Don't kid yourself. Bringing back Hamhuis is the lazy choice, not the only choice.

Are Canucks better served spending 3 mil finishing 17 th with Hamhuis or playing Pedan at 1 mil who will protect the team more , score more goals and get us a better draft pick?

I would let Gaunce come up and fill in for Vrbata. See what he can do for 15 games. Worst case scenario we get a better draft pick.

After yesterday's reaction let's see how many fans continue to go to the games.

Fans were going to leave in droves anyways even if we got rid of all the UFAs and NTC contracts. I've said it before, I'll say it again, this market can't handle losing. It fills buildings when teams win (see the BC Lions when they were winning/contending for Grey Cups and see now the Whitecaps now that they have a legitimate shot at contending in MLS) and stays away in droves when teams suck (see BC Lions and Vancouver Canucks now).

I have no confidence in this management/coaching team to get us to a point where we would have a shot at being a contender again. I'm not even sure Bowman/Coach Q could, with the ownership being what it is, the fact that the media are vultures and sharks and the fans being never satisfied unless every deal/draft pick is a clear win/generational player. How could anyone succeed in that environment?

It's going to cost a bunch of 1st round picks. You'd better be sure it's for a player that can elevate your team above lottery status. Imagine had Buffalo not matched the Vanek offer sheet?

4 first round picks, two of which became 1st overall.

- golfingsince

If you think the oilers will let mcdavid go into the final year of his entry level deal without an extension then you're dreaming. He'll be signed the summer before his third year and you'll never get the opportunity at an offer sheet.

We have won 3 playoff games in 5 years. The Constants have been Edler Twins Hamhuis Burrows Hansen Tanev and Higgins. They are 6 years removed from the deep playoff run . You don't want to bring them back for three more years .

I remember a mediocre Flames team pounding us in the Playoffs last year even to the point where the ref had to ask Hamhuis if he would like to step into the fight to go help his friend. That was an embarrassment. We have done nothing with that current roster to improve that.

Bringing back Hamhuis helps us build a regular season bubble team

Canucks need to chose a side. Fans will get on board with a rebuild , and they will get on board with going all out to build a winner. They won't get on board with trying to make the playoffs and one and out.

Sh1t or get off the pot

Hypothetical question . Would you prefer your roster to look like A or B

A)

Stamkos Gaunce LUcic Pedan

Or

B )

Burrows Higgins Hamhuis Weber Bartowski Prust Vrbata ?

No, rock bottom is when Oilers fans feel it is appropriate to troll you.

The biggest problem yesterday was not JB or the Canucks organization. The league has been steadily moving towards a scenario where a handful of teams believe they have a legitimate chance to win and the other 25 teams are actively tanking or selling or at least aren't giving up any futures to improve themselves. The cap stagnating will only make this worse.

Yesterday will be known for me as the day I lost faith in management. Exactly what Vantel just said pick a side it's pretty Damn easy. When your happy about losing a draft pick for a 27ish year old dman not playing in the league cause he couldn't make the Oilers or didn't want to play here that's not right. We front need to sign a 33 year old dman to a new contract nice guy but your time is up GTFO.

Rebuild property not grabbing scraps from other teams.

Why on earth did we have to re up Sbisa dorsett and even Sutter with those contracts when nobody would have really paid them that much.

So confused with what's going on it hurts. We don't need to tank bu we do need to move players with something for assets. On that note move Hansen and Edler before the draft for prospects and picks that cant be hard at all
