Come on now... It seemed a fair question given the circumstances.

Yesterday's fan reaction was embarrassing. I wasn't far off on my 'apocalypse' comment a few days ago, son.

I'm legitimately still trying to make sense of how everything happened. So many conflicting reports.

Still think Benning should have traded Hamhuis for whatever offer he could get, no matter how low the offer. Didn't Hamhuis already say he fully intended on resigning with the Canucks anyway? Nobody is going to trade for the rights to a guy they know they can't sign...

I don't think it's trolling. There's a whole lot of Canuck fans trying to make sense of what happened yesterday.

It's a catch 22 don't trade him and be blamed by your fan base or trade him for a 5th and be ridiculed by the likes of you.

Because I asked a question and posted my thoughts on the Hamhuis thing? I thought that's what people did on a hockey forum...?

Just the fans that thought this past TDL was going to change everything moving forward. Fortunately, I had low expectations as Hamhuis was god awful before his injury and Vrbata has no interest in playing hockey. As for our junk heap....

its cause you only show up to stir poop up. You are probably the in the top 4 for notorious trolls who come into the Canucks forums. Along with Domi, Aardvark, and senscupsnocups. I would probably rank you right behind the 2 leafs trolls and infront of senscups only because he is banned.

I don't think anyone would have ridiculed him for it. His hands were tied and everybody knew it.

Or Hamhuis walks, freeing up a roster spot and $4.5 million in cap space...if the world doesn't end today.

Most everyone outside of BC hates the Canucks. A lot of the fan base is apathetic. A lot of the hardcores are pi$$ed and hate the management. A lot of the fans and reporters want the coach fired. There is doom and gloom everywhere. The building is empty and the tickets are cheap.

Ahhhhhhhhhhh, this feels right. As a lifetime fan of the team, this just feels right. I never felt quite right in the heady days of 2009-2012 when we debated the Stanley Cup. I was always waiting for the bottom to drop out.... b/c after all this is the team that I grew up with.

Now we get to see a rebuild pretty much from scratch (and i, for one, believe that the foundational pieces are being set).

You might not see anyone sitting in the seat beside you (in the arena or bar) watching the game, but trust me, they'll all be back in 4 years telling you exactly what the team needs to do to win the cup b/c they have always been "die hard" hockey fans.
