Cool. 4-12? 6-10 next year? |

I think it's this way for a few reasons... Part of if is the fact that since 2007 nearly 9 years ago we haven't had a team that was passionate and filled with fire. Even the two playoff teams of 09-11 didn't really have that moxie... It's been so long since we've had a team that was all guts no glory that most fans in Buffalo have forgotten what it feels like to be entertained by hockey day in and day out. I long for those Phili and Ottawa rivalries we had in the mid 2000's. Boston's late 2000's rivalry had the potential to be big but it started at the beginning of our rebuild so it never got to take off.
Another big reason for the lack of enthusiastic games is the NHL's style of play... Everything is dump and chase and grabby and interfering with guys so they can't enter the zone and the refs never call it. Back right after the first lock out the games were quick and speedy and the hits were harder and bigger. Nowadays teams and coaches like Bylsma are trying to find ways not expose themselves and worry too much about not losing. Whereas the mid Sabres teams would skate down your throats and outwork you miss those days. |

Yep. I'm replying to you and Kaiser. I know the Sabres blow but I do watch a good amount of other hockey, mainly because I've been bored of the Sabres for 4+ years. I'll say this, there is an endless amount of games where nothing happens for seeming like forever, and then one teams scores and that's it. The game is destined to end 2-1 with the team scoring first winning 7/8ths of the time.
edit: The Sunday night Kings v Ducks game was amazing. It was exactly what you want in a hockey game. - Buffalo--Sabres
That division always has great games. Big physical teams. West coast hockey is good hockey. Which is crazy to think about. East coast hockey and canada hockey have gone soft and boring. |

I like those picks. I just did mine and I got Bubba, Scott, Holmes and DJ. and Haas and Koepka on the bench. My sleepers this week are Justin Thomas and Smylie Kaufman. |

It'll be interesting to see what the course conditions are. It's been crazy rainy here. All the courses in the area have experienced flooding. |

He's 34 don't let this guy walk all over you I'm not going to overpay for that kind of age - gerbe75pts
Good offensive lineman get paid well in their 30's , actually a position where the years of experience make them better even though they lose physical attributes.

I disagree, a bit, regarding West coast hockey being good hockey.
Based on the games I have seen, the game that was being referenced was the exception and not the rule.
The West coast teams obtruct and interfere to great lengths. They just happen to have more talent than many of the eastern teams. |

Doral is a bomber's course and he's a big hitter. He could sneak up on people this week. |
