He's overpaid by .2 or .3 this season. If however he can improve over this season as much as he improved over last season then he will be a steal. He's also or only tough d. Peden hadn't proven he can be a spate defenceman in the nhl yet. Wait and see. Slop Peden as 7 and Tyk as 8 and if they beat someone out then move or waive the worst one.

I'm really hoping Larsen makes a splash. Not proven in the slightest but I think he is gonna get a good opportunity to prove it. The draft has to be a good one this year and keep stocking those cupboards.

Pedan is next in line and looked great when he was here. Tryamkin is already fairly seasoned and could be on team next season if he comes over. Both way ahead of Subban defensively....hes a great scorer though.

I've actually watched a few Utica games this year and watched their playoff run last year. He's definitely a boom or bust prospect, but he has legit 2nd line potential if his game translates to the NHL. He was by far Utica's best offensive forward this year, especially on the PP.

Granlund has nice AHL production for sure, but he was waiver eligible next year and hasn't been able to crack a bottom 10 NHL team despite being given more opportunities than Shinkaruk has.

Calgary would have been in a tough position next year with him being waiver eligible and obviously not impressing them. Similar to Vey and LA. We bailed both teams out by paying a premium. If they even acquired Granlund for a 3rd and Grenier or something, it would be much easier to get on board.

Granlund wasn't going to leap frog the guys in front of him, like Monahan, Bennet, Backlund....

btw Hockey's Future ranked Granlund as Flames 3rd overall top prospect... Shink wasn't even in the Canucks top 5...

No we won't. Our D is really horrible it needs to be fixed.

People love Tanev and the guy is really not good. He is a defensive player that doesn't hit, doesn't produce points and blocks a lot of shots. As we all heard last night why are there so many shots being taken.

I watched him battle in front of the net last night , he couldn't move the guy from in front . He was just an extra screen on the goalie.

What does Hamhuis do really well? One goal in two years. Again another position player that strictly defends. We need to attack.

Edler surprisingly ( sorry Froggy) does the most of everything.

Bartowski has decent numbers and is having a career year . He makes a lot of mistakes but he is young. He is worth taking a look at for another year 1.75 mil.

Biega goes back to Comets.

Hutton working into top pairing needs to work on his shot.

Pedan brings better numbers than Hamhuis but there will be many mistakes as we go along.

We need to find a trade partner to fill the right side.
