the mood is not receptive to buying/supporting the team. the building is empty. those empty seats don't buy jerseys.

you change logos to represent a change in the team. a change of direction/momentum etc.

if the team does so now, no one is going to line up to buy a jersey of a 25-30 placed team. and by the time the team is a contender, the jerseys will look old/established vs being the cool, new thing.

once fans think the team has turned the corner, the new jerseys will come out. that's a couple seasons away.

lol. i had a friend who offered me a pair of tix to an upcoming game (yotes) for $180 (upper bowl).

season ticket holder who isn't really a hardcore fan and doesn't know the "state of the team" let alone the ticket prices.

very good friend so i didn't quite laugh. i just politely declined.

Not going to the games is better than complaining, as least you're sending a message to the right people.
