Plant cocaine in Dustin Brown's luggage. - A_SteamingLombardi
he'll probably try and trade him to edmonton or calgary before going for the cocaine.
lombardi always has an exit plan. |

I read a lot, it looks as though no one on Vrbata's list was even willing to give a draft pick for him…he's that ineffective this year. A shame.
As for Hammer, I feel for the guy, disappointed a deal couldn't have been made as we (Benning) could've used an extra pick. I think he's great at the draft, although yet to be proven.
Add Hamhuis to the list of defensemen Jovanovski, Mitchell and Ohlund who've walked away for nothing. Please don't re-sign him Benning!!!! - LeftCoaster
Dave Tomlinson brought up an interesting point today. It was something I also posted yesterday. You really have to wonder about the talen or lack of , on this roster.
There was so very little interest fro other GMs. We had the nickname Garage Sale 7 for the players on Bennings list of tradable players.
Kids aside , there is very little value on this tem once you get by the twins |

If a deal was presented to Benning, that would have helped the team it probably would have gotten done. Personally I wasn't surprised how little interest was shown, unless they got them for almost nothing. Both players would disappear when refs put their whistles away during playoff hockey. Not to mention Hamhuis abysmal play before he got hurt. I like both players but playoff hockey is another kettle of fish. - Chivasirons

I was able to figure that out by watching most the games and checking out the standings every once and a while |

I still can't figure out how people thought we would get a kings ransom for Vrbata and Hamhuis. Or anything for Weber or Bart...
I hope people remember this next year. If we are complaining about how are players suck all year and we aren't a good team nobody wants our trash. It's not complicated Sons! |

Absolutely…
Vrbata has no value and every other GM knows Hammer wants to stay in Vancouver so why trade for his rights. - LeftCoaster
Next year can you send a memo to the Canucks management , and let them know the time to showcase a player you are trying to move, is done before TDL and not after it. I have no idea why Vrbata is playing with the twins tonight. I honestly am beginning to think WD want to piss off Canuck nation and get fired |

He is going to up his value and then trade his rights before the draft to Winnipig for Dano and a first. Common sense ROFL |

The ironic thing is that I'm sure a lot of them were screaming how awful those players were earlier in the year. I agree with Lefty, I can't see any one other than Arizona being interested in Vrbata. He should be a healthy scratch for the rest of the year. Hamhuis made it clear time & again that he didn't want to go anywhere and he sure didn't help by saying he would like to re-sign here in the summer. Although, saying that, he has now set the bar to get lowballed by Vancouver for an extension. No more than $3 mill per for 3 years max. (Vantel's head explodes at this point) depending on how he plays for the rest of the season because he was awful before his injury. |

I hope the Canucks resign Hamhuis. He will be a great stop gap player for a few years. Put an offensive minded young d man with him, and he will learn lots. He's going to want to resign, might as well do it at a discount. 3 or 4 years $12m. - Scooby_Doo
Why . Do you find comfort in being a bubble team and drafting 15 th?
We have Hamhuis Edler Hutton and Tanev already? How many goals do the have?
How many does Giordano have?
How many hits do the four of them have?
Give me Pedan instead , I would prefer the top 5 draft pick for 4 years so we can get high end talent? |

you're probably right.
And the Lou will flip him to a contender for a 4th rounder at next years TDL.
