Stop what?
If he's such a "scrub" then why hasn't Murray released him yet?
Idk why you're so fired up about a guy that's probably a 4th liner for us when we're a good team
And it's not like he hasn't been playing good lately - jdfitz77
2011-12 BUF 14 6 7 13 6 9 44 11 0 3 .000 2 1 0 0 1 23 .261

Yea give him 2 more years to show how much of a scrub he really is. 33 goals in 249 games. and we wonder why this team never can start to take shape. |

Kreider has been a massive disappointment this year. And that's worrying for a young guy. Especially on the same team and system.
Edit: He's staring at career lows in goals, +-, and shooting %. - Wetbandit1
Not to make excuses for anyone in particular...
But check out the scoring throughout the league
There's a lot of guys... Stars even, like Getzlaf & Datsyuk and many more... Who are struggling offensively this year
The league has got to address the scoring
As far as Kreider in particular goes though...
With his size, speed & style of play- I think he can be an effective player even when he's not scoring
I don't wanna give him a "Bickell-like" contract if we were to get him...
But I think his size/speed could fit really nice here

I sent Homie a PM about 3 or 4 days before the trade deadline and mentioned to him a 4 year offer to McGinn for 16 mill was there, McGinn apparently thinks he's worth 5. That's why Murray said the number while talking with agent weren't close. |

I wouldn't even give him 4 x 4
Maybe 2years at 4mil?
I like him ok, but I don't think the guy is anywhere near 5mil per good
That's crazy |

While I agree he's hardly the main problem. Goaltending since Miller has been atrocious, fingers crossed we've found our goalie and a good backup.
1C ROR, 2C Eichel, 3C ?, Scoring winger #1 ?, #2 Kane, Defense #1 Risto? #2 ? You can kind of fill in from there with depth guys, but those are the rock bottom positions you need to do well. Not a cup contender, but better.
That's a lot of question marks.

We need a legit goal scorer and if that comes from Stamkos then so be it if not, they will find someone and have the money and assets to get it done. |

Just want him to play half the games and get them through 2 rounds so the pick goes up in value . Did not have any twisted man crush on him . Just looking to Sabres future. |

Good for McGinn!
I hope he has success with the Ducks
Especially since I want the pick to turn to a 2nd!

We're on the right track
I don't understand why ppl are freaking out
We had down years from Girgensons, Ennis & a few others...
And we're still GREATLY improved from last year
These guys are still learning how to play in the NHL, and together, and under a new Coach/system...
If we don't make a leap towards the playoffs next year,
Then it's time to worry
Not that I wanna wait...
But expecting playoffs this year was foolish - jdfitz77

He was one of the sweetest guys I ever worked for . The other one that was as nice believe it or not was Ronnie James Dio. God rest both their souls . Have worked for lots of nice ones . Those two went above and beyond. - Maximum Signal
I spent a New Years Eve with Ronnie at his home. He was as gracious a host as I've ever seen. He was a person to admire. |

If 28 is in the top 6 next year, this team will have problems. He's not a top 6 player but fine for the 3rd line. |

Interesting. Was it a formal offer? Or just a "yeah, we'll go 4x4"?
I think he can fairly easily get that contract especially if we've already formally offered that to him. Not sure about $5M especially with a static or lower cap. He's good player who can/has scored 20 goals and can play with anybody anywhere in the lineup, and that counts for a lot, especially in the playoffs, but you don't go full Ville Leino/Brian Bickell just because a guy is a good fit in the playoffs. |

I'd be more worried about us overpaying him of we were anywhere near the Cap
It's not an issue right now, at all
And he produces fine for a 4th line (most of the time) guy
He'll either finally become a consistent player, or he'll be outta here soon enough
I don't understand why you're so upset about Foligno in particular with the season we are having

Putting Bickell and Leino in the same sentence as McGinn is bad IMO, McGinn fit in here very well and as far as the offer goes, it was there he just figured more would come to him on the open market. I think he's worth 4 and that is it. |

Couldn't agree more. Eichel maybe develops into that, he certainly has the skills for it, just needs to learn the pro game a bit more and get used to the grind of (hopefully) playing a hundred games a season. |
