Couldn't agree more. Eichel maybe develops into that, he certainly has the skills for it, just needs to learn the pro game a bit more and get used to the grind of (hopefully) playing a hundred games a season.

Bylsma has his issues just like Nolan did, give him time it will work out.

Why are u so focussed on what line he plays on?

Abdelkader plays on the top line in Detroit al pay all year...
And Helm on the 2nd... And Nyquist on the 3rd!

It's about finding guys that play well together...
Not necessarily putting your 3 best guys on line 1, next 3 best on line 2 and so on...

I think some ppl put way too much emphasis on labeling guys as "top6" or "top pair" or whatever

I wasn't, I'm just saying you need to find a balance between a guys production and his intangibles and his playoff performance. And Leino and Bickell got huge paydays specifically because they were great in the playoffs even though their regular season numbers left a lot to be desired. Joel Ward fits into that category as well.

I think McGinn deserves a little more than the average 20 goal guy because he can fit anywhere, but he doesn't deserve an extra 15%+.

Hmm, not sure they really have a legit goal scorer. Bobby Ryan is a nice player. I'd love to have Mark Stone, or Hoffman, but I don't think they are either. Kyle Turris is much the same, but I don't see them giving any of those guys up very easily, even with a favor from Unlce Brian.

Hoffman is an interesting one. He's a 1 dimensional scorer but he scores enough that he will get paid. I just don't think it will be the sens who pay him.
