Couple surprises for me for the initial roster. No Subban, inclusion of Vlasic, Getzlaf and Carter right away. Not saying these guys shouldnt/couldnt be on the team, just surprising for the initial roster I think

I dont know how many players they can carry, but I cant see why Burns and Subban wouldnt make it. Also a little surpised at the Hall/Perry/Giroux omissions

Right, but they have Keith, Weber, and Doughty to generate offence from the point. They want guys that are solid defensively, and he really isn't.

Not knowing the Americans roster yet I believe it comes down to us them or Sweden...their line up looks pretty damn good...I would say Russia because they are loaded with fire power but have nothing on the back end or in net so they could be a wildcard

I'm kinda intrigued by youngsters and team euro.
But I can't say I'm invested in team canada selection.

I personally am not a fan of this team NA or Europe concept I rather much would have seen a Connor vs Jack finals match up...but in saying that I dont see the kids overcoming the vets in this thing

I think it will be fun, I am looking forward to seeing it be a tournament of some of hockey's best players, rather than be all in on Canada like the Olympics. Definitely am interested to see the U-23 team stack up to some of the top teams

I could see Sweden as being a fave.
I'm just not sure how much desire to sacrifice and fight their will be for Canada and USA.

I disagree, maybe (big maybe) Connor makes Canada, but no way Jack makes USA. This gives us a chance to see them compete with the best, so for me thats a plus. Also team Europe is a good idea for the tournament. No need to have 11-1 games, the level of competition I think it higher now and all games will be worthy of watching
