absolutely. Obviously Columbus by far got the better player and my issue with the trade is I thought thety should have gotten more than a 4th rounder but all in all, having that money come off the cap is huge.

Only if/when there are immediate financial needs that doing so would help meet them. Otherwise, he's got only one year left and while I do expect to see them get into the playoffs next season (as a 6-8 seed), not buying him out wouldn't be a problem.

Exactly. If keeping him prohibits them from fielding a playoff-competitive team, then I'd buy him out. If keeping him means they play Jordan Weal over Taylor Leier, not so much. I'd rather open up $$ by trading some combo of Streit/Schultz/Read where you'll get assets in return.

Certainly not picking on Ghost but his confidence looked like it fell of a cliff after his gaff which lead to the Hall goal. Hopefully he can put it behind him and move on next game.

The Flyer's unforced turn overs and lack of execution was the story of the game. Simmonds, Streit and Medeved looked noticeably bad to me. Macdonald and White do not belong on the power play. Nor should Couturier(or any left handed shot) be on the half wall.
