I do . The kids hockey smarts are off the charts and that is why Murray drafted him.He ain't trading his first big draft pick to see him succeed somewhere else. - Maximum Signal
Unless he can bring in someone who succeeds here? Is that not the definition of a hockey trade? |

But it's also clearly stated that no matter who is giving the sponsorship they're not allowed to give more than "fair market value" and that's where they'd find the loophole.
I don't think Toronto has as big an advantage as a lot of other people. We don't know what's going on inside of his head, we don't know if he wants the exposure, hockey players, for the most part, don't like that like a football player would. I'm not saying he's coming here, but I do believe it is a three horse race with Tampa, Toronto and here. I still think Tampa is way out in front followed by Toronto and Buffalo pretty much neck and neck. We can offer just as much cash as Toronto can, and we're arguably a few years ahead of Toronto in the re-build. I'm still not sure I want him here just based on the headache it'll cause trying to find everyone enough playing time plus the cost which will definitely be in excess of $10M unless he signs in Tampa. Then I can see him coming in just under. - Wetbandit1

Serious question, would I be considered a hipster if I wanted to drive a Chevy Celebrity just to be ironic? |

Agreed. Too many of them pull the whole "deus ex" move on endings to tie it up all nicely (although most of this is usually because the show is being pulled earlier than expected). |

Loved the show, the ending was the worst.
Sopranos at least was on purpose to make people ask the question about what happened and interpret how they want. |

Toronto will throw so much money at him . We are not getting him . Corporations that own the Leafs can also offer him major endorsement / advertising dollars on top of hockey contract . Don't want to even discuss it or when we do lose . Leaf trolls will rub our faces in it for years. As rich as Terry is . They can buy him with Petty cash. - Maximum Signal

Bought this last night (from the other blog)
It's a Subaru BRZ - jochfr
Nice purchase!
I tested both the BRZ and FRS. Enjoyed both although thought it was silly how the BRZ was $2K more as it's the same car.
Just couldn't pull the trigger on either because they were so extremely low to the ground, there's virtually no way to get anyone of even moderate size into the car, and despite all the rumors to the contrary, there's never been a turbo version. That's why I went with my WRX.
On that, you mentioned not wanting to pay for the WRX related to your BRZ.
Unless you're talking about the STI or unnecessary limited version of the WRX, they are the same price as the BRZ new. |

Sorry you do not realize the gravity of the situation . That big Canadian television contract that practically floats the whole league is them . In the words of a very wise man . Everyone is equal . But some are more equal than others. There are more shell corporations than you can keep track of . Plus companies that owe them favors . They could offer deals to him and Rogers and Bell repay them in other ways that NHL accountants can never track . I would love to get Stamkos . But I am trying to be the realistic one here.
