Unless he can bring in someone who succeeds here? Is that not the definition of a hockey trade? - Sabresfan-365
Murray is attached to this kid at the hip . He is his first big aquisition . Can't see them giving up this years top pick with the draft here either . They want a big show . Buffalo with no Number 1 pick is a major lunch bag letdown . They will trade #1 pick for next year.
Sorry you do not realize the gravity of the situation . That big Canadian television contract that practically floats the whole league is them . In the words of a very wise man . Everyone is equal . But some are more equal than others. There are more shell corporations than you can keep track of . Plus companies that owe them favors . They could offer deals to him and Rogers and Bell repay them in other ways that NHL accountants can never track . I would love to get Stamkos . But I am trying to be the realistic one here. - Maximum Signal
Bottom line is this .............. unless there are reasons he doesn't WANT to play in Toronto ............... he's going to Toronto.
My feeling is ..... any ideas floating out there that he's cold on the idea are coming from his agent.

Agreed ............. it's just silly talk ......... elephant talk .........

I get that, but no entity can pay him "more than fair market value" whatever the hell that is. They don't have to keep track of them all, just the ones paying the players. I'm not saying he'll sign here, I still think Yzerman sees the light and he re-signs in Tampa. And no one knows what is going on inside Stamkos' head. The only thing he's stated publicly is that he'd rather play center than the wing.
It's impossible to lay odds on what someone is thinking, because, stickng with the "House" theme, "everybody lies". So saying 60% Tampa, 30% Toronto, 5% Buffalo, 5% everywhere else is a bit absurd, but I think he's more likely to sign in Tampa, and Buffalo and Toronto are somewhere behind them. Like I said in many previous posts I'd love to have him, but I'm not sure I want him because of all the issues it would create. Someone's being left out and playing wing against what they'd prefer, and I don't think anyone get's the ice time they want/deserve. And just because someone does something without female doging doesn't mean they like it and would perform as well as when they'd do something they'd prefer to do.
Its a fun little car, my brother owns one of the FRS variety. Not much getup before 3k rpms but it moves pretty nicely after that. Thing is great on gas. A blast to drive through corners.
It is a total nightmare in the snow, if you are dealing with that at all there isnt really a way around needing snow tires. He didnt go that route, and i got stuck on my street in about 4 inches of snow just moving it to snowblow last winter. - ieetbred
All turbo's are designed that way unless specifically tuned otherwise to maximize MPG unless you hammer on it constantly, and it's even a small prevention regarding MPG for those do hammer it all the time.
Superchargers are the ones that have immediate liftoff.
For my money, I'd go with the WRX non-STI and then invest a bit to have some serious fun. I'd recommend a quality intake, intercooler, downpipe, and exhaust along with an aftermarket clutch. Added gauges are overrated, costly, and a pain to install. Also, never go with a blowoff valve. All it does is sound cool while seriously messing with your turbo, and your intake will take care of the cool sound.
My best suggestion for anyone with an AWD, or any FWD drive for tires would be the Nitto Motivo. They are not a winter tire as they are an all season, but they are the best tires I have ever had or seen. They have a 60K mile guarantee, have crazy traction in snow and even a bit in ice, and they have virtually no road noise unlike a winter tire would on ground that is not covered in snow. Plus they are around $130 per tire which is definitely cheaper than many/most winter tires. Can't say enough good things about them.
Agreed. Too many of them pull the whole "deus ex" move on endings to tie it up all nicely (although most of this is usually because the show is being pulled earlier than expected). - Sabresfan-365
Reminds me of jehrico. I liked the premise better than the execution, but im pretty sure the writers got a call about 8 episodes into the second season and the network execs said "we're cancelling the show, you have one eoisode to put a bow on this". And the baby blue ending to breaking bad was pretty cool. Lost was a giant kick in the pants. I wish carlton cuse would have just come onscreen and said "look, we got greedy, lets all just pretend that the series ended when locke got the hatch open at the end of season 1".

I'm glad Jericho got a second season, but you're right, you're watching and then all of a sudden, it's over and you're like WTF? Probably one of the weirdest endings for a show I've seen. I think I was the only person on Earth who kind of dug the LOST finale. It totally fit with what they did the previous 7 seasons. If you've ever seen the movie "Identity" that was kind of the same, and I liked it quite a bit, but a bunch of my friends hated it just because of the way it ended. "The Mist" had the most gut wrenching and subsequently best endings I've ever seen.

I had a set of Michelin winter tires, and while I generally think Michelin are overpriced pieces of poop my buddy got a set and liked them, so I checked out Tire Rack.com and they had all 9.0+ ratings in every category, and they were like $115 a tire, so I said "what the hell" and the difference was amazing. I went from barely being able to go through 2" of snow without going sideways to being able to plow through 8" plus on my poopty, dead-end, never (frank)ing plowed street in the city no problem. Now I'm too cheap to buy winter tires and will just wear tires down almost to the belts. Stopping is overrated... I just generally stay in if it's snowing too badly. The best car I've ever driven in the snow was my mom's '95 Legacy. That thing was awesome, you could drive sideways and be totally fine. The AWD was a beast and the power distribution was perfect.

Weve had this conversation before about the mist. They didnt even wait till to get hungry. I cannot relate to just giving up after a day or 2 of the mist and a quiet drive in it. Yeah some peolpe got eaten but the worst is already behind you.

Boedker will want 5+. Not a bad option if we don't get Stamkos. Kris Baker thinks Fasching will make the sabres roster next year and he would be an ideal linemate for Eichel. Maybe Boedker on the LW on that line.
