He's played well lately, but I hate when coaches do that. Put a guy who isn't a good shootout guy -Marcus is 0-4 now- out there just because they're playing well. It almost never works. Put your best guys out there regardless. Give your team the best chance to win.

I think it's pretty clear what their direction will be by draft time, and it's what you said: the pick is outside of the top 5 means they trade it.

For TM, it more specifically means if they're picking lower than an impact player they like will be available, the pick is traded for more immediate help.

Yeah but with the top 4 picks up for lottery, still may get lucky. If 7 it is there are a couple of intriguing dmen in that range. Combination that will Stamkos and we're sitting pretty. Eichel Stamkos and Ennis line = intriguing
