Whatever . It still is not an exact science . You need to look at everything and even things that can't be quantified with numbers. I am sure no GM's in this league rely just on numbers. Useful tool but observations are just as important.

LOL ............ when was the last time you saw a perfect game played. There's always little things to pick apart. Kane played a great game today....... but some people in Buffalo are never gonna like the dude. Shame too .... he plays all out all the time.

Because teams that draft top 10 are rarely in a position to do so. Combine that with the fact this draft is winger heavy and the fact that we're hosting it...

I'm all for the Sabres losing out this year and getting a top 3 pick but damn ....... I'm not sure they can play any better than they did today ..... especially without ROR. If they played like this most of the time, they'd be in the playoffs. Was a great game to watch.

If we are drafting around 7-10 the only trade we are making is that pick in a package for:
1) rights to Stamkos
2) dman with top 2 potential
3) 1st line winger for Eichel

Probably in that order

The positive is that this team will improve 20-25 points over last year despite losing Lehner for 40 games and both ROR/Kane for a month

AND

Ennis injured and Girgs/Moulson having bad offensive years. With all those factors against us I think a 20+ point improvement is impressive even though I would have been fine with it being 15 and us in the top 5.

No . Just someone who thinks you go above and beyond at times . Pretty sure about global warming to. As stated before I am an independent that researches all issues for my self , draw my own conclusions and does not let the media spoon feed me my opinions.

Not saying I am loving the idea of trading, say, #8 for stamkos. But I'd do it and I think TM would if that is what it takes. He wants to get this team good fast and the guy we'd take around 7th isn't even on the team next year. They may not get stamkos but just know they will likely trade something that will make people cringe to get him.
