From the last blog about the OJ thing. The knife was dug up when OJ's house was being torn down by the new owner to build a much more better like house. It was found by a construction worker who gave it to a retired/off duty(they're not sure/wasn't specified which just either or) LAPD officer who was working security for a movie nearby, who then sat on it for about 18 years before finally handing it over to the LAPD. What a cluster (frank). I know OJ doesn't have the money he used to, but any lawyer would have a field day with that chain of evidence especially considering how easily they got the majority of the forensic evidence thrown out because some schmuck left it, unsupervised, in the sun in a hot truck all goddamn day, and it's uncertain whether they could even do anything about it, because, you know, the 5th amendment and everything.

Travolta is only Shapiro because he's an exec producer on the show, and Cuba, well I don't know about that, but he's very immersion breaking. OJ isn't happy about it either apparently. He's pissed that his(Cuba's) head isn't big enough. Can't say I blame him. The same thing with Cochran, he was a big dude with a big head, and all due respect to Courtney Vance and his ability, is neither.

I really wonder if the prosecution wasn't trying to throw the case. The gloves were soaked in blood then left to dry shrinking them, or at the very least making them stiff as (frank), and on top of that he wore latex gloves underneath! Of (frank)ing course they wouldn't fit well.

When I took Forensic Science in college the OJ case, the forensics side, was our final exam, basically everything they did, don't ever do when collecting/handling evidence.

I took my genetics college class right after the trial ended. My teacher was very good, even though he looked like Gene Wilder. We were doing tests like the LAPD lab did. No clue how they (frank)ed that up.

RWD... I think it's the only car they make that does'n't come in AWD.
I could be wrong.

- jochfr

It's the only current model without AWD. They made one more in the mid 90's. This bad boy.

My step-brother had one.

I get the general consensus on here that people have some unrealistic expectations on this off season. Here is what I think is realistic.

We're NOT getting Lindhom. He's their best defensive prospect. It would require either Reinhart or our first rounder this year. Likely no exception there.
Murray has been linked to Fowler for a long time and he's 2/2 on players he's linked to actually 3/3 if you count Lehner. This makes me believe we trade for Fowler at the draft. It's been linked from 4th period and other various accurate sites that Murray will try and shop a defenecman around the draft. Cam Fowler, Sami Vaatanen and Shea Theodore are the players listed as options to be shopped. Theadore and Vaatanen would probably cost the most. I'm not sure what it would cost for Fowler but I suspect he will be the get for Buffalo this off season. Weather people on here like it or not.
It appears to me anyway despite this teams lack of scoring and defensive liabilities that we will end up finishing anywhere from 3rd to 8th. With a likelihood of 5-8. Assuming we don't get one of the lotto picks we may be looking at someone who won't be NHL ready next year, which would suck. But with how poorly a few teams are playing right now I'm starting to accept the fact that we miss out on the big 5.
Finally we're NOT trading Fasching. Murray really likes the kid and wants him in Rochester at the end of the year. They will be aggressive to sign him and he stands a good chance at starting here next year.

The cop was off-duty but active at the time. Now he's retired. He called in recently to get some document numbers regarding the case and mentioned he was going to engrave those details onto a frame where he was going to display (probably try to sell) the knife. Investigating dept. was informed, knife was confiscated and is undergoing testing. Authorities are now considering filing charges against the retired cop.

Was going to include it but I don't have enough accurate info to make a solid prediction on it. I think if I had to guess right now I'd say Leafs 60% Resign with Lightning 30% Buffalo 5% Rest of NHL 5%

Might not be enough. If we're drafting after 5. Unless there's a player Ducks love.

I honestly don't even think he's available so we should stop talking about him.

Move on to Cam Fowler, Sami Vaatanen and Shea Theodore.

If they move on, it shouldn't be on to them. Theodore on ELC is too valuable to ANA. Vatanen is the bait, he's just not enough for us.

Im very confident that would be a mistake, for both teams actually.

There's also no concrete evidence of us going after him. Some weak rumours here and there but nothing like Kane/O'Reilly

He'd be our 2nd best defenceman by a mile and it's not even close......

I'd count the fact that we were scouting Ducks after deadline to a pretty telling sign.

Doesn't mean he'd make a good top pairing guy for us going forward. And we don't know what they were scouting, could have been about anyone or just advanced scouting for the game before the deadline.

Was after the deadline. So that's not true.

And we're not getting Doughty or OEL so we might as well try and and get what we can to improve a defense that has 1 good defenceman and 2 youngsters that have shown good signs. 1 vet who still has a little in the tank but shouldn't be a top pairing guy and 1 over paid high profile player who get's an assist once in a while but has the worst hockey sense for a defenceman I've ever seen..

The game or the scouting? You don't have to trade for one of those guys. There are so many under the radar defensemen who quietly go about their business as very effective top pairing guys.

You brought up Doughty as example, but Muzzin does most of the defensive legwork on that pair and gets virtually no credit. We don't need to go after doughty type, another version of Muzzin would be perfect.

The scouting was after the deadline which was after the game. They were clearly scouting for the off season. I don't see why Fowler couldn't be a top 4 defneceman here and with our current pathetic D core he'd be the top pairing Left guy

If there were so many under the radar top pairing defenceman every team would have one. And they wouldn't be so difficult to get.
