For what's its worth I found this too and ran it through google translate.

http://www.championat.com...mu-tam-delat-nechego.html

General Manager of "Motorist" Oleg Gross commented on the information that the NHL club, "Vancouver Canucks" seriously interested in the services of defender of the club from Yekaterinburg Nikita Tryamkina.

"You want to know my opinion? I believe that it has nothing to do there. My opinion: Tryamkin go there early if he wants to play normally. I am not against the NHL, but you have to understand when and why to go there. In my opinion, a bit early.

I was from North America, no one came out. As to the general manager of the hockey club "Motorist" no complaints have been reported to me, "- said Gross in an interview with" Championship "Paul Panyshevym.

All in all very weird situation.

Benning says he is not on route to Vancouver and they have not begun contract talks.

Tryamkin Agent says club is negotiating contract and on route to Vancouver.

If the stories are true about Tryamkin and Canucks are jumping through that many hoops to make it happen , there must be something they really like bout his game. I don't think they would go through all the trouble if they felt he was a 5/6/7/8 Dman.

Someone said Benning said this morning Pedan will make the team next year? There goes another spot.

I also heard on the radio that Canucks have UFAs that they are already targeting . I think they said they have a RHD in mind.

Spots could be filling fast . Maybe a trade could happen

Lots of factors seem to be in play, from what I have read some of them are:

-Tryamkin's contract ends April 30th and generally to break that contract, the player needs to pay the team a fee out of their own pocket. Some reports that someone ended up paying 500K to break contract, the team cannot pay this as it would be consider cap circumvention

-One of if not both Edler and Sutter need to be on LTIR for the remainder of the season to fit his contract in. If one of or both end up being healthy enough to play by the end of the season, the Canucks could be guilty of exceeding the cap. I think that if a doctor clears a player they cannot remain on LTIR, so hard to predict if Sutter and/or Edler will be healthy by the end of the season.

-If not signed by June 1st, Tryamkin becomes a UFA, but the Canucks are only able to offer him a rookie contract with limited bonuses so hard to financially compensate him.

-Tryamkin might not actually be interested in coming over.

Pedan always had to make the team next season, and from what I understand they didn't mention RHD UFA's . I think he is still talking about Lucic....

Benning indicated that the issue w Tryamkin is not cap related. I suspect he wants to play here. After all, he did attend rookie camp and his interveiws always mention the NHL. Are you sure regarding UFA status?

I cant see him being UFA status already, though there is a time limit to getting rookies signed out of the draft I just dont think enough time has passed (but I really am no CBA expert, just seems too soon)

A lot of movement in the ISS draft ranking. Interesting that Vantels guy, Logan Brown, has climbed to No 10. He is a 6'5 center but may end up sleeping w a teammates wife
