I liked that Benning said he got a lot of calls about our young guys. That is a very positive sign.

As long as we keep moving the old guys we are right on track

I can see Edler waiving to play in Florida or NYC but I don't see Benning giving him up.

I think Lnden said today Sutter will play wing next year with the Twins.. What becomes of Hansen .

I hope we do a blockbuster this year

Sutter with the twins

I think there needs to be a trade, way to many LHD. Hutton who has proved he can handle top 4 so far, Edler, Tryamkin, Pedan, Sbisa, Hammer is gunna be gone.

But with all that i wouldnt mind Edler traded.

Trade Edler, Hansen, buy out Higgins and try to move Burrows, if not let him finish the year and retire.

As much as we don't like him , he has the best numbers in every category

It's amazing the hate he gets when he is top 60 in points this year, had a great cap hit etc.
Top 2 defenceman not a number 1 but still top 60 equals top 2 defensemen.

Well miss him when he's gone.

I don't think Benning lets him go unless it is a sweetheart deal .

Moving Hutton and someone else on the PP and having Pedan and another big hitter on the back pair. We just need a point producer.

If we trade Sbisa and bring in Peden, Tyk and Larson would you bring back Hamhuis 2 years 4 per.

Go with
Edler Tanev
Hutton Tyk
Hamhuis Larson
Peden Biega

I know it's a losing lineup but it brings in some size and skill while keeping some sage guys around to protect them. I know it's a arch to put Tyk in the top 4 but sink or swim right?

I'd trade Tanev for one of Trouba, Hamonic, Dumba or Barrie and let Hamhuis go and have a D of:

Edler Hamonic/Trouba/Dumba/Barrie
Hutton Biega
Pedan Tryamkin
Sbisa Larsen

Hammer can actually play RHD as well. So he is a logical option for that

No I wouldn't bring back Edler Tanev and Hamhuis . That is an unproductive trio. Two at most . I would rather just one

Last thing from today , hopefully an oversight, when Benning named future core, he didn't mention McCann

Edler Hamonic ---big minutes D
Hutton Hammer ---big minutes D...hammer can play R
Tryamkin Sbisa --- try sbisa on R and hope for better outcome than on L
Pedan Larson --- rookies to try more sparingly

Biega AHL for call ups.

start season this way...adjust as needed by play

Boeser with 2 goals and 2 assists today in a 8-1 win.
Analysts online pumping his tires big tonight on him being a super talented prospect.

Thanks for posting this son...Demko and Boeser are brilliant prospects and should be appreciated. Fans have multiple options. B!tch about 5th round picks or admire the prospects that we have aquired in a short period. Benning has drafted very well and that's our only chance to right the ship

I'll try, although I still think that the Canucks greased some wheels in Russia when they "found" some extra box scores the proved he was eligible.

You even think bad of the Canucks on the drafting of Bure?
#PatQuinnSucks

While most teams believed he was ineligible, the Canucks' head scout at the time, Mike Penny, discovered that Bure had played in additional exhibition and international games to make him an eligible late-round draft choice a year early. Jack Button, the Washington Capitals' director of player personnel, admitted "everybody would have taken him earlier. We assumed he was not eligible... you've got to give the Canucks credit for doing their homework

- A_SteamingLombardi

Bure had to be drafted 1st 4 rounds i believe cuz not the min 20 games were played but the other teams who didn't do their homework were pissed n so was the NHL. The Canucks did theirs n were crucified. 😂😂

fair enough, i'll take your word on canucksarmy.

though, i wouldn't be so trusting of your management. i don't think they've proven to be salary cap wizards thus far...

Wizards waste money on players not in the NHL.

Wouldn't trade either. They would be the top 2 prospects for the Leafs.
Heck our future is brighter without a sell off. 👍👍
