It isn't shocking to believe or assume it was a Leaf mod.

The trolling we see from posters of other teams in our threads, the extent it goes on, and the sensitivity of Leaf fans, they don't take it as well as they give it... you would think they would have a shorter leash in our threads as we have in theirs, but apparently this forum doesn't always work that way.

Had it on for a few minutes and had to turn it off, sent an email though, likely as effective as pi55ing into the wind..

Can you please lighten up on the WD hate? The team was, at best, projected to be a playoff bubble team and with the injuries, that wasn’t going to happen...

Can't understand the media wanting full tank when they can't handle missing the playoffs with all the youth in our lineup... I guess ranting and conflict sells, but I'm not buying.

It is only certain teams fan's that come in here and start stuff. Leafs/Flames/Oil seem to take the cake for coming in here. Hurricanes have Bingo, and we get the odd Pens fans come in here regarding Sutter/Bonino.

I never said that. I never said I took anyones word over anyone elses. I know that dialogue must have been going back and forth between a leaf fan and one of our own which probably led to the ban. I have always endorsed and promoted ignoring the trolls, but even if we entertained one of them, how does a LEAF mod come in here and ban a Canuck fan in a Canuck thread.

Fair enough, I read all the posts yesterday regarding Dons ban and just assumed this was still part of that discussion.

To me this is one of the issues with an open blog, you can have posters from various teams come in and soft troll or just outright try to provoke our fan base. I try very hard to intercept them before one of our own is singled out with an unwarranted response.

Toronto and Montreal have the biggest fan base here at HB and they will continue to venture to others blogs to stir up discord within whatever blog their visiting. And as soon as someone takes the bait and posts phrases like this "Come back when your sh!tty team makes the playoffs " it gets flagged and next thing you know a ref comes in and issues a ban. I don't agree with it but these are the rules of the CoC.

Mods are encouraged to venture into other blogs to ensure a civil blogging experience. Personally I stick pretty close to home and will enter other blogs when either asked or it's obvious that someone is being inappropriate, (prock, sensnucksnocups).

I know I probably didn't answer the question but in the end it's best not to respond to trolls and either flag or PM and I'll assess the situation, and take whatever appropriate action is necessary.

I guess it is all shock value... trying to create or push conflict.

My dad was asking me about experts, or pundits, arguing a point, doesn't one of them have to be wrong and if so what kind of credibility does the wrong expert have? Just like the rants, they don't carry any weight when you are ranting daily and often about something that isn't rant worthy, just to fill air time.

I enjoyed the guest hosts over the Christmas break, the usual rock n roll sports talk has reached it's limits with me... laughing at your own jokes and all the filler in between the sports talk has become unbearable. Just happy they put up the interviews/pods on the internet so you can hear the guests perspectives without all the other bs.

I don't tune into 1040 to hear about Jada Pinkett Smith and her response to some Chris Rock jab at the Oscars...
