One goal, pretty sure it ended 4-2.

The refs finally called the cheap stuff SJ is known for.

- Makita

The Canucks had a bunch of penalties called against them in the previous game against the Sharks in the second period, nice to see the shoe on the other foot for once...

or rather, managed in our favour...

Galley is unbearable and the whole Toronto slant when it is a west coast game was odd...

I made the mistake of watching the end of the Ott/Tor game and even though Ottawa won late and is still pushing for a playoff spot, all CBC could talk about how great The leafs are going to be and how great their prospects are.

No worries just a supposed competitor getting butt hurt because of his team's poor showings against a bottom 5 team.... #firstroundexit to cali team

2 out of 3 aint bad....

Probably shouldn't talk about another team's chances in the postseason when your team's not even sniffing at the door this year, bud...

Wasn't butt hurt about the outcome of the game per se...but objective blogging isn't a bad thing either...

4-2 after the empty netter...

What cheap stuff? This coming from a team skating Alex Burrows?

Come on...

- Team_Teal

You mean like your team having Torres for a couple of years but mostly suspended?

She is the best, most objective blogger on this site. Are you on the Canucks blog because you want some tips on when to cheer and when to boo next game? All you have to do is ask buddy

Soooo....

You're giving props to Burrows for an empty-netter?

If you think essentially that a one goal game was a slapping, you're desperate for good news this year.

Don't give props to the team, give it to the refs for the soft penalties & pulling SJ's #1 defenseman off the ice for 10 mins.

LOL. Great "journalism."

Brilliant insight. Please pay us yet another visit when you've figured out what round the Sharks will choke in…

Don't feed the trolls boys.

We need markstrom to play less. 5 and 1 on the road in his last 6 is not good for a top 5 lol.

I wrote this in the last blog. Avtoblotist website wrote that they wish Nikita tryamkin the best of luck in North America

This is what I was thinking last night,

Tim M. Holman
‏@BlueandGreen60
Gary Galley: former Bruin. Currently the most annoying, clueless colour guy in existence. #Canucks

It might have been the first time Galley started and didn't stop talking or the moment he was talking about the SJ penalty kill and needing to get the puck out of their dzone...

Igor Eronko: The contract for Canucks prospectNikita Tryamkin with Avtomobilist has been terminated. He’ll be joining the Canucks soon. His deal will have an AHL out clause.

Hmmmm. Been thinking about the team and pouring over stats.

I'm surprised that the coaching staff will remain unscathed...I thought the team special teams have been a disaster...but looking at the stats, maybe they haven't been as bad as I thought.

Vrbata, Bo, Bartowski and Weber have been disasters...at least 3 of them will come off the books this year. Hutton is a stud - sign him to a long term deal if you can. Glad they kept Hansen. Hope some of the youth can blossom. Curious if Vey is still 'open for business' or if they give him another shot...

The team wasn't as bad as it could have been this year. Blown third period collapses (defence), terrible secondary scoring (Bo and Vrby) and faceoff control could fix the team pretty quickly.

Think secondary scoring will sort itself out with development so the team can do a lot better next year if they get some decent defence and centre depth...

Risky move
Barring a trade or two, theres going to be far to many bodies on the blueline next season. Tree, Pedan and Larson will essentially all be on one-way contracts.

+/- out of 838 players in the NHL:

#838 Radim Vrbata -32
#837 Bo Horvat -30

A variety of variables contribute to this, but "worst in the entire league": That's a disaster.

Hard to blame a guy where they play you too far up in the lineup that's where Sumter was supposed to be the 2nd line center and main penalty centreman. Better gauge would be next year when Sutter is back and Bo can continue to grow rather than being thrown to the wolves all the time.

It was...a truly challenging 24 hours. A Leafs mod banned me for standing up for the Canucks in our own thread
