I think it's more like.

"Jim, I'll buy dinner tonight."

Future considerations probably means JB gets to pick the Restaurant.

I can't believe even 1 single person is female doging about losing Dane Fox. The guy was a free agent signing, that couldn't crack the AHL.

For (frank)s sakes, pick your battles.

Found out one day when I went in they have drag shows on sundays, which I never went there on previous.....walked in and wondered why everyone was staring at me. Then I realized it was ALL guys, all staring at me....then I see the queen....I was outta there so fast.

You know how many new players we have right now? Roster is vastly different.
Mostly Fresh young players w talent. Not sure how you see that as falling apart.

Cool, now do the defence.

Also, it doesn't matter how many time you change the windows if they don't fit. The roster has some bright spots, but check the standings and get back to me.

I was staying at the Melia Cancun when they filmed one of thos movies . It was Arnold and some Barbarian actress. I never felt so small. The crew stayed at the hotel . Red Sonia?

Actually I was in Hawaii for spring break once and the elevators were constantly filled with college football players and Basketball players. I never heard my ex wife use the phrase size doesn't matter so many times in one week

I like that he's also bringing in a fair amount of 23-28 year old guys. It seems to be the age group a lot of teams that are rebuilding neglect (oilers come to mind) where it's good to have a mix of young old and in-between for young guys. Before we had the young and old only, it's nice to see the gap filled in. I suspect that is part of why they are giving Vey a bit more ice time, he simply has the most experience out of the young guys.

standings do not indicate your original assertion that it is the roster not the coaching staff. Could be either.... I, from my own knowledge of coaching know that the staff is faulty. The roster may not be perfect but not the cause.

Look at the old NYRs back when lindros was there....they signed every top name around. Had a $90M+ roster and couldnt make the playoffs. A roster does NOT make success. Meanwhile buffalo goes to game 7 OT SCF with little on roster and Ted Nolan on bench. Success.

Pumpkin head Bodreau meanwhile has a loaded roster in both Washington and Anaheim and most times cant get out of 1st round.

Coaches are more involved in success than rosters. Rosters make a stronger team with fewer deficiencies true, but do NOT make success.

Again....the sword is only as deadly as the hand that wields it.

A lot of guns' rights activists use this line too, I find it to be brutally flawed. There is a lot of socially constructed discourse around symbols of power, people feeling powerful because they know what that symbol means to other people:fear (in the case of guns and swords). IMO, and in a lot of phychological/sociological studies, a lot more goes into "wielding" than simply a individuals ability to wield. It's why lottery winners often go crazy: it's not the money, it's the meaning of having so much money and the pressure of that meaning that drives them batty. Thus, objects, in that they have social meaning/value/power attached to them, do actually have inherent dangers in terms of the pyschological effects.

You really have not yet demonstrated how the term is flawed. But please dont go on, the original point was valid.
guns dont require much skill, swords do. Lets stick with that....remember this is about coaching vs roster.

Its a metaphor:

The person is dangerous, not the weapon.

It is flawed, I don't know how to tell you any more plainly than I have. I also don't really see how it is at all reflective of coaching, as the coach can't be on the ice.

This is a non-playoff roster, I really don't think any metaphor is necessary for us all to know that. You can argue that it is, but this is one of the worst defense corps/secondary scoring teams in the league, not much the coaching can do about that. Nolan didn't take Buffalo to the SCF, Hasek did. Coaches can do the best they can with the personnel they have, sure. Better systems could help this team score more/defend better, sure. Good enough to make the playoffs... bit of a stretch. Good enough to win
