This one's on Lehner. - sippyd
He gave up one bad goal. The others were a break away and screen shot that, yes he should have been in better position, but hardly worth deeming "his loss" |

Regardless, he's not good on breakaways or in shootouts.

True, but the good news is in the playoffs, there is no gimmick 3 on 3 OT and no talent show shootouts either. He may not be good on breakaways, but those can only occur if the team in front of him allows it to happen. Over all his non-breakaway play has been very good (except for that second goal tonight) but I guess everyone has their off nights |

Still you'll lose a lot of points. Maybe he gets better by next season.

Touche. I really wish the NHL wouldn't reward losing. All or none, or 2 points for Regulation/OT 1 for SO. Ironic that they are trying to prevent tanking, yet if you lose, you get rewared with a point Just my two cents |

Well Murray disagree's because they offered him 4 yrs 16 mill and he turned it down, for some reason he thinks he's worth 5 mill a year, that's why he's gone. - SABRES 89

Top line is flying and Kane seems to be inching toward more thoughtful play as he gets more comfortable with Jack and Sam. they could do amazing things if that keeps up; seems like 15 and 23 starting to click.
Risto was a disaster tonight.
Gionta Larsson Seem comfortable with each other and it's stepping up both of their games.
Foligno is a HORSE on the forecheck. His work with the puck on the boards tonight was insane.
Lehner had a down night, obviously. |

Has been as good for them as Kane has been for us. Should have been a 1 for 1 |

Neither player is the solution/problem for their team. Jets are weak tea down the middle, even with little. |

I love the O'Reilly deal, Lehner deal looks better, but this one is just so blah.
Kane is good, but unreliable, Bogo is Bogo.
Wish it was Trouba instead of Bogo

And maybe so, but is winnipeg better off with myers as we are with kane? I dont think so, i would take kane 10 out of 10 times over myers.
Just my opinion of course. |

Which is fine, the Winnipeg locker room would probably have it 0 of 10 times. And unless Kane seriously changes its gonna end up that way here.
Kane is very good. Just very unreliable. I can't say for sure he'd be healthy or not in trouble when we are actually competing for a cup. |

The health concerns are legit, but i think as of now, the locker room speculation since his time in buffalo is reaching. I believe we actually have the veteran presences in place to handle stuff like what has occurred this year, and what if it was simply a problem between one or maybe just a few during his time in winnipeg?
I also think he sees the opportunity to play with a player like eichel, not many places he will have an opportunity to lose like this one. He has some work to do learning how to use his teammates better and i dont know why he wouldnt at least want to give it an honest effort.
Him eichel and reinhart have impressed me lately, and i was convinced that he could not play with eichel for a while. |

I think when we are good (possibly next year) Kane plays the secondary role on the 2nd line, and just reeks havoc on the forcheck
Someone made a great comment earlier that Kane is like that kid in HS that just chucks 3 pointers all day, and sometimes he hits them in bunches, sometimes he's annoying. |

No doubt that his forechecking ability is something i like most about his game. I think that analogy holds some weight. Looking at it from a different angle i could see his likeness to shoot from anywhere becoming something valuable in the playoffs when things tighten up even more.
Even to bring it to the 5v5 scoring debate that has taken place here lately, he scores the majority at even strength. When there are less PP in the playoffs that is also something that should bode well for him and the club. |

Agreed, coincidentally that's Myers strength as well. He scores at even strength like a #1-2 defensemen.
One thing that I am thankful for with Kane is his speed. It's something we need more of |

I'm just old school that way. It was the way I was used to seeing it growing up and I miss it! I wish the league would bring it back. - NewfieStud
Yeah, it's great. Your team get's the "boring" jersey at home, but then you see all the other teams good jerseys cycle through. Even better if you're a season ticket holder. |

Yea thats probably second on my list, besides maybe his ability to pot the biscuit.
It is a lovely sight when he hits 5th gear. |
