He's alive .

In class all week.

Thanks Cab! I was going to but I couldn't remember his exact handle. And I'm in way too much pain(abscessed tooth) to do back reading. Glad he's not in a ditch somewhere in "The OC"

I am so glad that pp goal the rangers scored didn't matter much since both teams got 2 goals even strength and we had to pull the goalie at the end being down 1 goal

Really like How the line is playing . Those three are showing some serious chemistry as of late.

I love the O'Reilly deal, Lehner deal looks better, but this one is just so blah.

Kane is good, but unreliable, Bogo is Bogo.

Wish it was Trouba instead of Bogo

When the Rangers scored on that power play Pysyk wasn't that far from the red line.

[Andrew Pulatarski (spelling?) 2nd in the NCAA in scoring and a Buffalo kid signed with Carolina. He was in Buffalo for the prospect camp. He's got decent size and very good speed - I'm surprised we didn't sign him?? Obviously we only have 50 spots but one thing this team seems to lack desperately is speed

the only reason we even scored 2 goals is because the Rangers were up 3-0 and went into cruise mode

We're still missing 2 scoring forwards.

Oh i know just pointing it out to Homie's never ending Special teams are the most important crusade...

Even though half the teams in playoff position have worse special teams averages than us. not to mention most of the teams between us and the top 16 in the league. But let's completely ignore the fact that we find ourselves down goals from even strength battles specially early in a game and then suddenly start scoring when we're 10 minutes from the end

So when ROR comes back, what do the lines look like then?
Does Dancin Dan reunite Him with Reinhart and Kane, or does he keep Jack there.
If not Samson and EK riding shotgun, who then? Girgensons and ??

Interesting to me.

Personally, I like what I'ma seeing with 9-15-23 and would let that continue to develop and see if ROR can gel with Girgs. Bet Dancin Dan moves Gionta up though and completely kills the chemistry between Foligno, Larson and Gionta!

I know I haven't been around for probably over a week (work has been hell), but I don't remember him ever saying they were the most important. He said they were important, but I think you're exaggerating how important he feels they are.

It'll be interesting to see what happens with the lines. I'm still not a huge fan of Kane with Eichel. I think that line has been doing well because of the chemistry with Eichel and Reinhart, not because of Kane. I think I'd like to see them put Girgs where Kane is now and put Kane with ROR when he comes back. I think I heard (could be wrong though) that Ennis could be back soon. Put him on ROR's other wing. That leaves Larsson with Gionta and Foligno still, and puts Deslauriers back on the 4th line with Legwand and Moulson.

minimal value is what he said, to paraphrase the month long pissing contest

special teams do little to alter the standings, their value is not what they were years ago.

so my response is every time the sabres lose a point or 2, or gain a point or 2 due to special teams, I will continue to beat the drum that special teams are one of the keys to winning a game

my 2 cents

we have 2 top 6 winger, skunk and kane
2 top 6 centers jack and ror

my guess is he splits up the wingers and gives one to ror and one to jack

problem is the other wingers are stink stank and stunk

maybe throw foligno a bone and give gus a shot
I kind of like foligno, eichel, gus for a ten game experiment

Our PK has been not so great the last 4ish games. The PP has struggled a bit over the last 2 weeks or so as well, but has gotten a few here or there. Don't allow that PP goal to the Rangers last night, and you now have a 2-2 tie. I get it. They really can make a difference. Teams feed off of how they do in the special teams areas. It can translate over to gained momentum during 5 on 5.
