Are we really at the point where we're out of the rebuild enough to be trading away top 5 picks?......I'm not so sure. Remember, we're doing this rebuild right for once. I know we all want to make the playoffs, but I think we're going to have one more season where we might not make it....but it will be close.

He's the exception. i don't care which way he shoots, shattenkirk is awesome, if you can get some sort of assurance that he'll sign an extension (or a negotiation window as part of the deal) Id take him here every day and twice on sunday

I like him too, but wouldn't be top of the list due to UFA status upcoming unless it was another RoR scenario like you mentioned. I didn't think of his contract.

Every team not in the playoffs in the west is falling fast they will all be lower than us, they all are currently minus COL. And we may pass MTL and NJD are falling quick too.
