I'm diggin the 9-15-23 combo and wouldn't break it up.
So, IF they are successful landing Stamkos...
ROR-Stamer-Ennis/Girgs/draft pick would be my preference...with emphasis on the draft pick.
That leaves Ennis and Girgensons as trade bait or to form a line with Bailey/Fasching as you noted - IonSabres
It's a small sample size, so we'll see if Kane stays with Eichel or not
Both Murray & Bylsma have commented on Girgensons playing with Eichel, so I think that will be given another shot
Obviously none of this is set in stone though
Especially if they're adding a top forward from this draft...
It's still a work in progress seeing how everyone fits together |

I cant find the full play on my phone. But from what i remember Pysyk was done on a knee, stick extended when it hit his stick went up in the air and the trio took off. - CoHo_to_B-Lo
On the game broadcast they broke down that play extensively and it was definitely Johnson who stuck his stick out to deflect the puck from coming to the front of the net. |

It was
Moulson-Girgensons-Ennis - jdfitz77
Close enough. Throw that line back together and see what happens. 15ish games left, let's throw some poop and see what sticks |

Murray has also said he doesn't think Jack's winger is on the team yet. |

Video is in Pachla's blog, the long replay shows it, but it's tough to make out really. Pysyk's was down, but I think the puck was elevated coming off the Rangers stick. He may have still reacted and got his stick up on it though. The video just isn't clear enough for me to tell for sure, but my first thought last night was that it went off the stick of Johnson, so when I looked at the box score I just figured I saw right (doesn't mean the box score people aren't wrong just like I may be). |

I had that thought back when Ennis returned from the previous injury. I wouldn't be opposed to it, but then who does ROR ride with?
While I see the benefit of "getting Moulson going", I think they would have a better chance maximizing ROR than Moulson at this point.
This points out that Moulson just doesn't fit here...c'mon Pegulia Mafia, take him out! |

By the end of next year...
Last night's2nd line could easily be our 4th
Kane-O'Reilly-Reinhart
Eichel-STAMKOS-(draft pick)
Ennis-Girgensons-Bailey/Fasching
Foligno-Larsson-Gionta
Deslauriers
*hopefully have traded Moulson somehow (I know, just wishful thinking) - jdfitz77
Not sure any draft pick, this side of Matthews, will be with the big team next year:
Eichel-Stamkos-Reinhart
Kane-O'Reilly-Ennis
Foligno-Larsson-Fasching
Moulsen-Girgensons-Gionta
Risto-FA pick or maybe draft choice
Bogo-McCabe
Gorges-Pysyk-Franson
Lehner-Johnson (resigned) |

If just Ennis comes back then try that. If only ROR comes back then throw him with Girgs and Moulson. If they both come back I say we do Girgensons-ROR-Ennis. Moulson becomes the odd man out.
Moulson will be here next year, so I'm hoping Murray was right when he said that he's going to work a lot harder this summer and come back better. I'll believe it when I see it. |

I don't think he comes straight to Buffalo. He might be best suited with some Rochester time. And this is still assuming we're getting Stamkos.
Kane-Eichel-Girgensons
Moulson-O'Reilly-Samsonite
Foligno-Larrson-Girgs
Deslauries-Schaller-(FA/AHL)
Risto-Gorges
(Defenseman traded for Ennis ++)-Bogo
Pysyk-McCabe
Franson

Id have to assume that any D requiring a price tag of Ennis ++ would probably be on the top pair with risto....at least i hope thats the case. |

And I wanted to put it there but it would depend on that ++. If Ennis is the centerpiece the defenseman is a 2nd pairing at best. If Ennis is a nice piece in it and let's say this year's first is a centerpiece then maybe it's a top 2 guy. Top 2's don't come cheap. |

Right I don't dispute that but if he's a lefty and decent in his own end I would expect him to take the top spot from Gorges. Neither belong there but your new guy would technically be a major upgrade. |

I wonder if Murray being this public about that conversation is some writing on the wall.
He's got to do a little more than be a landlord for $5M/year. Pegula will just Buy Eichel his own house!

With luck, they will all be gone after this year. We have a lot of picks to add in a trade for a team to take Moulson. Coach and GM will stay |
