While I see the benefit of "getting Moulson going", I think they would have a better chance maximizing ROR than Moulson at this point.

The old guys will fall away in time.
None of those guys are targeted as long term irreplaceable core, IMO.

I see that happening sooner than later and im happy with that. Murray speaks highly of McCabe as well. I think if he has a good offseason and comes in strong next year he could be Ristos partner.

I feel like if Girgensons gets to be a true 3rd line center playing against other 3rd lines and with some capable line mates, we may see him return to decent form. He's 22 and his stock aint very high right now, but he's basically been a swiss army knife for Bylsma and hasn't complained about it at all. I'd be fine with a bridge deal carrying him for another 2 or 3 years and deal with the outcome either way when he's up for his next contract.
There's so many hurdles to get rid of Moulson, i can't imagine him going anywhere.

I do think he has SOME trade value, he's scored 20goals 3 years in a row before this year. But his scoring was WAY down, & that concussion has proven to be pretty serious.
I also doubt he has the kind of value we're hoping for in a trade

I'd rather just keep them both at this point than "sell low"
